So we’re half way with our second little petal and I’m feeling rather uninspired with names.
My daughters name is [name_f]Ayla[/name_f]. We plan on only havering 2 children (it’s the perfect number for us for many reasons) and I’m thrilled [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] will have a little sister to play with.
At the moment this is my list but I would love your opinions and suggestions ( feel free to be picky, please don’t be mean).
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] - (nn tansy) loving [name_f]Tansy[/name_f] but feel it needs a more formal name. The flaw with [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] is it’s sort of similar sounding to our surname - Brisb@ne.
[name_f]Junie[/name_f]
[name_f]Izara[/name_f] - we had [name_f]Zara[/name_f] on our short list for [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], hubby still likes it but there’s something I don’t love about it. [name_f]Izara[/name_f] changes the syllable stress, and I prefer it considerably, but will she always be getting called [name_f]Zara[/name_f] anyway?
[name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_f]Anika[/name_f] - there’s the whole thing with both girls names starting and ending in a… Can’t decide if that’s a deal breaker or not.
[name_f]Pania[/name_f] (pa-nee-ah) (nn [name_f]Nia[/name_f] or [name_m]Pan[/name_m])
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] - we eliminated C and K names because 5 out of 7 of our nieces and nephews have C/K names, plus me, my [name_m]SIL[/name_m] and [name_f]MIL[/name_f] have K names… Not sure if the rule still stands
[name_f]Lys[/name_f] - pronouciation issues?
Miette - this name comes and goes from my list, but so did [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], so at the moment it’s staying
[name_u]Seren[/name_u] - [name_u]Seren[/name_u] Brisb@ne? Not sure…
Any help will be much appreciated, as will any new suggestions.
Thanks in advance
