I’m trying to decide between the names [name_f]Amaranth[/name_f] (nn Mara) or [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] (Riley). Middle name will be [name_f]Debra[/name_f] either way. Sibling names are [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] (Perci), [name_m]Abraxas[/name_m] (brax), and [name_m]Lucian[/name_m] (Luc). Thoughts?

[name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_f]Debra[/name_f] flows better. Aramanth [name_f]Debra[/name_f] not so much.
I also think [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] fits well with your other children. [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] is a unique and pretty flower name!

I also prefer [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] it is easier to say and such a resplendent flower. I love all the nickname options too!

I like [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] better as a full name but [name_f]Mara[/name_f] better as a nickname. If she might go by her full name or [name_f]Amy[/name_f] then I would choose [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] otherwise I would choose [name_f]Amaranth[/name_f]. Its not that I dislike [name_u]Rylie[/name_u] it just feels so different from [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f].

[name_u]Riley[/name_u] definitely feels like a stretchy nickname, but no harm in seeing if it sticks. A very lovely idea. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Exactly my thoughts! I would still pick [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] but use [name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_f]Mara[/name_f], or [name_f]Mary[/name_f] over [name_u]Riley[/name_u] (though I get [name_u]Riley[/name_u] is a very friendly, casual name).

I think she matches better with your other kids names, and I especially love the nickname [name_f]Mara[/name_f]! Much more sparkly than [name_u]Riley[/name_u]

[name_f]Amaranth[/name_f] is intriguing and cool! I like how it has a different ending to your kids names and I prefer [name_f]Mara[/name_f] to [name_u]Riley[/name_u] :slight_smile:

Because of The [name_f]Music[/name_f] [name_u]Man[/name_u], I have a hard time seeing the name [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] without pronouncing it Amaryllith :joy:

Jokes aside, I think that I like [name_f]Amaranth[/name_f] better with your other kids’ names, as well as the nickname [name_f]Mara[/name_f] over [name_u]Riley[/name_u].

With [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Abraxas[/name_m], [name_f]Amaranth[/name_f] feels a little too [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] J. [name_m]Maas[/name_m]. I would stick with [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f]!

i vote amaranth.
i feel amaranth is fresher, more interesting and fits the spunky sibset better. amaranth debra sounds pretty cool to me.

you can’t go wrong either way, though. congrats!

I voted for [name_f]Amaranth[/name_f] mainly because I love [name_f]Mara[/name_f]! Though I equally love [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f].
