[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] - just picture such a sweet, spunky little girl
[name_f]Emmy[/name_f] - probably one of my fave nicknames for a girl but love it as a full name too
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] - so classic and beautiful. love the nn possibilities especially [name_f]Evie[/name_f].

[name_u]Kaya[/name_u], it makes me think of [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Nieves[/name_f] from Supernatural!

[name_f]Emily[/name_f]! I know it’s been overused, but I love the literary connections and the sweet sound. You also can get [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] / [name_f]Emmie[/name_f] as a nickname!

[name_f]My[/name_f] other favorites are [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], and [name_f]Kaia[/name_f].

@Mayblossom I love too many of these to just choose one, so I hope it’s OK if I list some!

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are:

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] -it’s beautiful and peaceful
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] -it’s spunky and sweet
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] - I think this one is so underrated as a standalone name, it’s so spunky!
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] - this is absolutely beautiful and I love the meaning!
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] - I love the spelling, look, and meaning of this so much!

This was fun, thank you!

[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is my favourite - bright, lovely with plenty of kick!

Thoughts in general/likes and dislikes about them:

[quote=“Mayblossom, post:1, topic:442088, full:true”]

[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] - zippy, lively, fresh and lovely with pretty imagery

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] - light and sweet but with strength too

[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] - it’s okay - versatile and solid - not my favourite because it just doesn’t sparkle for me

[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] - warm, bright and springy

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] - cheerful and bubbly - all the Rubys I’ve met (including my cousin) have worn it really well

[name_f]Eva[/name_f] - sharp but sweet, international and stylish

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] - starry and magical with a hint of magic. However, while I like it as Lie-ruh, I don’t like leer-uh.

[name_f]Emmy[/name_f] - my preferred spelling. Sweet, warm and spunky

[name_f]Emily[/name_f] - literary and versatile, but I’ve met a few too many

[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] - already commented on

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f]

[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites are [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f] & [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] (although personally I think [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] works better as a nn for another ‘Em’ name); [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is one of my all time favourites and if not for the popularity I’d use it in a heartbeat - so sweet, bright & yet with so much history; [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] is a sweet biblical gem & [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] is just darling. You have a great list!

poppy - 8/10, cute and flower-themed
lily - 9/10 really pretty
ellie - 9/10 cute could be used as a nickname for eleanor or any other name you like
chloe - 8/10 pretty but feels a little too popular
ruby - 9/10 love this name it’s so pretty and elegant and it’s popular but doesn’t feel overused
eva - 8/10 nice could be used for a nickname for evangeline, evangalina
lyra - 7/10 it’s pretty and love the associations but i don’t love the way it feels when i say it aloud
emmy/emmie - 7/10 leaning toward the emmie spelling but emmie feels a little nicknamey for a first name so for me i would use it as a nn
emily - 6/10 love the name but it’s too popular to be used as a first name if i was naming a kid
kaia or kaya - 5/10 i don’t mind it but it feels a little incomplete but i do prefer the kaya spelling

I did a love like lose as well because this thread is fun

love: lily, ellie, ruby, eva
like: poppy, chloe, emmie/emmy, emily, lyra
lose: kaia/kaya

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], & [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]!

[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] is so cute, and I love the flower association. She’s spunky and energetic.

[name_f]Eva[/name_f] I ADORE primarily pronounced EH-vah, but honestly all her pronunciations are gorgeous. She’s classy, strong, and international, which is such a huge plus.

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is my real name, but I love it’s vintage sound, and the quirkiness I feel from it. She’s a lot more popular now, but I still think it’s a fun choice.

If I could pick a 4th favorite, it would be [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]! (Lie-rah)

[name_f]My[/name_f] least favorites...

are [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], Emmy/Emmie, & [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. Maybe because they sound a bit more modern, or because they’re extremely popular at the moment? I feel like I’ve heard many little girls named these, or a variation of these names. But nothing wrong with them in general!
