It’s hard to pick, but I’d say [name_m]Rowan[/name_m] and [name_m]Oakley[/name_m]! I love the unisex nature of them and the outdoorsy feel they give me. Bonus points to Noxli and [name_m]Kelso[/name_m], those names just feel like you!
I’m obsessed with [name_f]Romee[/name_f] - [name_f]Romy[/name_f] is on my own list! Completely adorable with a fun vintage energy. Paxos lends itself to nn [name_m]Pax[/name_m] which I am totally obsessed with.
I especially love your boys list! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourites are [name_m]Ocean[/name_m], [name_m]Zephyr[/name_m], [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m], [name_m]Forest[/name_m] and [name_m]Cy[/name_m]. If I was naming my child… Hmmm… Perhaps I’d pick [name_m]Cy[/name_m]. [name_m]Kai[/name_m] and [name_m]Caius[/name_m] are my all time favourites. And I’m choosing [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] from your girl’s list because it sounds so gentle and pretty (Rowan is a runner-up).
romee
i can picture an adventure-loving girl with a spunky and exciting personality! a true free-spirit. both the sound and spelling are quite appealing.
forest
i’ve always loved forest. just something so dashing and handsome about it. he’s straight from a storybook, and i love that!
[name_m]Rowan[/name_m] ~ love for a boy but extra love on a girl lately. I appreciate how it’s beautiful but without the traditional sounds most often found in a girl’s name. We had a rowan tree in our front garden as a child; it reminds me of playing outside and watching it change through the seasons.
[name_m]Kelso[/name_m] ~ love how K’s have a pinky purple colour for me & a two syllable name with an -o ending is a winning combination!
[name_f]Amity[/name_f] → I love the way this feels contemporary and cool, snappy but sweet and is a versatile virtue with a great meaning. I enjoy that spiky, sparky end sound with the gentle first syllable - a bit like [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] merged together but also a totally different feel!
[name_m]Kelso[/name_m] → cool, rugged and handsome, with this coastal vibe - reminds me of rocky cliffs and wild shorelines - and more to the point, it gives me the feel of [name_m]Sholto[/name_m], [name_m]Zennor[/name_m] and [name_m]Caedmon[/name_m], but also totally its own name - I think you introduced me to it and it’s just very cool
[name_m]Rowan[/name_m], [name_f]Fable[/name_f], [name_f]Nyx[/name_f], [name_f]Romee[/name_f], [name_m]Ridley[/name_m], [name_m]Cove[/name_m], [name_m]Rune[/name_m], [name_m]Summit[/name_m] and [name_m]Forest[/name_m] were all in the running too
lazuli - this is what i named my car lol so it has a special place in my heart! i love all the nicknames, and i love how it’s recognizable because it’s a word, but rare as a name, and i love how spunky and fun she is!!
kelso - i think you were the one that made me love kelso! it has some special meaning to me and i love how it has a long history behind it as a place name and clan name, but is still rare as a given name!
[name_f]Romee[/name_f] - came across it yesterday ironically - I like it a lot! It reminds me of my beloved [name_f]Romy[/name_f] & a lot of those 2 syllable -ee [name_m]French[/name_m] names I love like [name_f]Maree[/name_f], [name_f]Esmee[/name_f], [name_f]Renee[/name_f], etc.
[name_m]Ocean[/name_m] - I like the idea of this whole family (including [name_f]Oceane[/name_f] and [name_m]Oceanus[/name_m] and [name_f]Oceana[/name_f] etc.) but I love the simplicity of just Ocean; my sister considered it for my nephew and I’ve loved it ever since!
Amity - I like the rhythm of 3-syllable, ending in -y girl names, so Amity is a winner for me. It has a lovely meaning, and it’s the name of a great beach in my area, so I have a good association with it.
Rhodes - this one feels so bright and international, thanks to the island of Rhodes in Greece, as well as the Rhodes scholarship from Oxford University. I also like that it’s a homophone of “roads”, so it signifies journeys to me.
[name_m]Lazuli[/name_m] - Difficult choice but this is the one that stood out to me the most. It’s hard to describe the vibe I get from it but it’s very cool and I want to say layered, if that makes any sense? And I feel like it has just the right amount of quirk, where it’s noticeably exciting and different but not overstated
[name_m]Forest[/name_m] - I’ve always thought it was a cool name, and it hits a nice sweet spot between familiar and unexpected. It’s also super versatile in terms of vibes and I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone say they dislike it
from your girls list i have always been a fan of noxli. i love the ‘x’ and the i ending it just sounds so cool! i also love the name knox so i think that is part of the appeal! i also love with romee, she is so fun and carefree! montana is also sweet i love the nickname monte!
from your boys i love ocean which i have always liked for a girl and boy! cove and paxos are cool too!
[name_f]Amity[/name_f]
I love the meaning. The sound is pretty, the spelling is pretty… [name_f]Amy[/name_f] as a nickname is a cute little bonus, as are Mitty and [name_f]Attie[/name_f]. I just really like it!
[name_m]Zephyr[/name_m]
I went to school with a boy named [name_m]Zephyr[/name_m] for years, and he was always nice. One of the only names of a classmate I still could see myself considering for a kid in some realistic scenario! Absolutely cool, collected, and radiant.
[name_f]Amity[/name_f]- To be honest, it was so close between [name_f]Amity[/name_f] and [name_f]Nyx[/name_f]. I love a good Greek mythology/goddess name, and I adore the connection to the night and imagery it has. However, in terms of sound [name_f]Amity[/name_f] just about wins. I love The [name_m]Owl[/name_m] House association, and it’s so bright with such a sweet meaning.
[name_m]Zephyr[/name_m]- I really enjoy the soft, boyish feel it has. It’s unusual, but easy to say and accessible, so pretty much everything I look for in a name.
[name_f]Nyx[/name_f] - I am a huge fan of mythological names, especially Greek, and this is one of my favourite names. It’s short, strong, and insanely cool. I don’t think I will ever use it in real life though, but I love it with all my heart.
[name_m]Zephyr[/name_m] - Again, I love mythological names and this is not different. The sharp Z, the soft EPH and the R sounds great together. This isn’t really high on my list but I love it nonetheless.
