[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] is wonderful I think it sounds best with your other children, flows best together with [name_m]William[/name_m], is very handsome sounding and doesnt run into the Sh sound.

I especially like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], but [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] wins with your other children’s names. I like that each would have their own initial, and stylistically it feels like a perfect match.

I do agree about [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], it does give each of our children unique initials, which I love. However I think [name_m]Henry[/name_m] might be our favourite? It’s definitely my husband’s favourite. I’m unsure about [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] together, and they’ll only be 18 months apart. I sort of want someone to tell me [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] are fine together, so I can just use it. But I do think [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] fits better. I don’t love any of Arthurs nicknames however. Why is this so hard?!

If [name_m]Henry[/name_m]’s your favourite, use [name_m]Henry[/name_m]! I’ll be the one to tell you that [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] are absolutely fine to use together — very handsome, in fact.

On nicknames for [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], how do you feel about [name_m]Archie[/name_m] or [name_m]Bear[/name_m]?

I actually really like both [name_m]Archie[/name_m] and [name_m]Bear[/name_m], my husband calls our eldest little bear sometimes, because her middle name is [name_f]Claire[/name_f] ([name_f]Claire[/name_f] bear). I hadn’t thought of [name_m]Archie[/name_m] as a nickname for [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]. Thank you!

I think [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] is lovely, I don’t think it’s at all too similar and awkward with [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], and as it’s your favourite of the bunch, I’d definitely say he’s the one.

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] are my favorites. They sound pretty classy together viz [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] & [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m], see!!

I voted [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] but [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] were really neck and neck for me. If you prefer [name_m]Henry[/name_m], go with [name_m]Henry[/name_m]! Always go with the favorite unless there’s a really compelling reason not to. I don’t find [name_m]Henry[/name_m]'s similarly to [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] to be enough to sway away from your favorite.

I voted for [name_m]George[/name_m] because it’s my favourite from the options, but I would worry personally about it’s popularity. But then again, you have chosen fairly popular names in the past so shouldn’t be a problem for you!

Good luck

Well, to be fair, when we chose [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] 7 years ago, it wasn’t anywhere near the top hundred, and neither was [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is called [name_m]Jack[/name_m] because of a family tradition. [name_m]George[/name_m] is not hugely popular where I live, but I guess it could become so. I guess I don’t worry about popularity too much, because we have an uncommon and difficult to pronounce surname, so I want a worry free, easy first name.

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]William[/name_m] flow nicely together, plus I can mostly easily imagine [name_m]Henry[/name_m] on a child or an adult whereas the others seem just more adult like.
