Picking a name that we BOTH like... (He is VERY picky!)

Okay, i have had a big headache trying to come up with a name for my second child. My Husband is sooo picky when it comes to picking the boy name. We dont know what we are having but, the girl name wasnt to hard. Im scard that i’ll be in the hospital the day i have to leave and still not have a name if its a boy, lol. We want a spanish name in there somewhere, but i want an english name in there also. He wants a strong boys name but every name that i think is strong he hates. I would love ANY suggestions!

My Thoughts: My middle name is [name]Elisa[/name] and His moms name is [name]Maria[/name]. Those have to be in the name, but i dont know how to arrange it (spelling can be differant also)

I love [name]Lorelei[/name] because of the character of the young mother on the show “[name]Gilmore[/name] Girls”. The daughter is also named [name]Lorelei[/name], but her nickname is [name]Rory[/name].
[name]Zeus[/name] seems a bit grandiose to me, but in this day and age no name choice is really that surprising. I will post some more thoughts later because I need to find my book that has a lot of exotic name choices in it that you might be very interested in.

Yeah I love [name]Lorelai[/name] too! But my hubby absolutly hates it, lol. He said that it sounds [name]Asian[/name]. Anyway, i think the boy name is going to be the hardest thing for us. I thought about having the middle name be my hubbys name, Scual, but i really dont like it at all. He likes weird names and i like practical but unique names. I dont want him to get made fun of for having an unusual name like [name]Zeus[/name]. I can see kids saying he thinks hes a Greek God or something. HaHa this is going to be a long 5 1/2 months!

I wouldn’t name my son [name]Zeus[/name] because [name]Zeus[/name] was a god who was kind of stinky and pushy. Not a nice personality. But I have a list of some unusual names for boys that you might like. I have girls’ names, too, but it sounds like you have some great names for girls. Maybe your husband would like the girl’s name [name]Paloma[/name]. It means dove in Spanish. Or maybe he would like [name]Tatiana[/name].

Thank you for those awesome names! I have brought to his attention [name]Rocco[/name], [name]Mateo[/name], [name]Cruz[/name] (I love this one!), [name]Diego[/name], [name]Laszlo[/name], [name]Xavier[/name], so far he doesnt like any of them. He did like [name]Leo[/name], but im not so sure if i like this one… should i be more flexable? or try some others on him?

[name]How[/name] about if he tries some out on you? My husband does this: Sit back and exercise veto power but not offer any good ideas of his own…grrrrr…

LOL, that sounds about right. He has told me alot of ideas, the problem is i hate them all, haha. It even got to the point yesterday where he said he liked “[name]Baby[/name] Boy” then called him BB for short. The names he likes are [name]Ray[/name] [name]Ray[/name], [name]Leo[/name], [name]Zeus[/name], lol [name]Baby[/name] Boy… he mentioned Selvester and Cornilious, but i dont know if that was a joke or not. Tonight i’ll ask him to give me all his ideas and ill write it on here so we can come up with a good combo of my favs and his.

I love the names [name]Ray[/name] and [name]Leo[/name]. [name]Ray[/name] could be short for [name]Raymond[/name] or [name]Raymundo[/name]. [name]Leo[/name] could be short for [name]Leonardo[/name], [name]Lionel[/name], [name]Linus[/name], and [name]Leopold[/name]. [name]Leonard[/name] is really out of it. All these names except [name]Leonard[/name] would be considered very hip with the hipster crowd which is a good thing, I think. It’s better to have a very stylish, edgy name than an out-of-it name.
