Picking a theme :0

Oh hey there Nameberries,

I am trying to decided what my ‘theme’ is, in order to find some more names that I like, but I have no idea what it is! I am going to put a list of some boy’s and girl’s names that my husband and I love, and I’m hoping someone can tell me what sort of theme I have, or suggest some more names for us…

Girls:
. [name_f]Savannah[/name_f]
. [name_f]Jenessa[/name_f]
. [name_f]Aniyah[/name_f]
. [name_f]Saidey[/name_f]
. [name_f]McKenna[/name_f]
. [name_f]Cadence[/name_f]

Boys:
. [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]
. [name_m]Soren[/name_m]
. [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]
. [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]
. [name_m]Evander[/name_m]
. [name_u]True[/name_u]

So if anyone could help that would be so wonder, thank you in advance

Well, in my opinion, your boys and your girls are very different styles. You see that a lot though.

The boys names strike me as intellectual/artistic…(save [name_u]True[/name_u]–I would prefer Truett or better yet [name_m]Truman[/name_m] nn [name_u]True[/name_u]).

The girls strike me as fluffier/more modern/a bit trendy. I love [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]/[name_f]Nessa[/name_f] and I love [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f]/[name_f]Jessa[/name_f]…but [name_f]Jenessa[/name_f] is a bit of an awkward smoosh to me. [name_f]Aniyah[/name_f] on the other hand seems a more successful twist on a more traditional name. I think it’s pretty.

I agree with PP in that it seems you have two totally different styles. For girls, your favorites seem to lean toward modern, trendy, altered names with sharp edges and a bit of Southern flair. Your boys list is more whimsical, quirky, vintage, and literary.

Have you checked out Nymbler.com yet? You can put in a few of your favorite names, and it will provide suggestions for you of a similar style. It might help bridge the gap between your boys and girls lists.

I thought many of your names had a Southern style.

Thank you for your input, I really appreciate it! Never heard Truett before but I am in love now, so thank you  [name_f]Jenessa[/name_f] is more of a guilty pleasure name, I mean I love it but is slowly going off our list. [name_f]Aniyah[/name_f] will most likely be the name we choose for our first little girl.

Thank you for voicing your opinion, very much appreciated! I actually do agree our styles are different, I don’t know how much that really matters? No, I’ve heard Nymbler.com before, I will go check it out now  I guess you mean southern like [name_u]Texas[/name_u]? I am not in [name_u]America[/name_u], so just trying to understand.
