I was all set to go with a vintage classic girls name when my husband suggested piper. What do you think of this name? What would be a more classic feminine mn to go with it? Siblings are: [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f], will, grace, riley
I love [name_u]Piper[/name_u]. It’s quirky but simple.
Yes! I agree, I would have never thought of it but that’s how I’m feeling toward it! Thank you so much for your feedback!
I personally love [name_u]Piper[/name_u]
It’s quite possibly my very favorite name!
I agree. Adorable.
Thanks so much for these responses… I think we may have a name!
I also am a fan of [name_u]Piper[/name_u]! Really cute!
I love [name_u]Piper[/name_u]!
middles-
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Adele[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
I like [name_u]Piper[/name_u], not sure how well it goes with your sibset though.
I like the name, though I have a bad association.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] <3
I’m not good with nicknames but maybe u could call her Pip!
Wow this is such great feedback. I love suggestion [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] for mn. So now my question is:
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_u]Piper[/name_u]
Or
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
Thank you so much for help! (Also is spelling [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] or [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] preferable?)
I prefer [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]. To me, [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] are pronounced differently. [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is Mad-uh-lyn and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is Mad-uh-line.
I think either [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] or [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] would be adorable, just depends on what you want the pronunciation to be.
Ok thank you, I prefer mad-uh-line … I will run these by my husband to see which he likes but I am loving these names now so thank you so much!!!
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is adorable
I do believe [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] can technically be pronounced as Mad-uh-line or Mad-uh-lyn but atleast where I’m from, most instinctively say Mad-uh-lyn. I would personally spell it [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] if you want the mad-uh-line pronunciation although you’ll probably still get a mix of people saying mad-uh-lyn or mad-uh-line with that as well.
Well I made the mistake of mentioning [name_u]Piper[/name_u] to my sister. She tells me it’s like naming my daughter “smoker” and that I’ve list my mind.
The problem is that I’ve started loving it! [name_f]Do[/name_f] any of you think it’s a terrible name? Is there a similar name out there maybe not as “out there” ?? Again, I appreciate all this help!!!
Edited for privacy.
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] is an adorable, cheerful, spunky name! I think its a great choice and fits in well with the rest of your children’s names!
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] is adorable! I can’t believe your sister said that to you! [name_m]Just[/name_m] ignore it and go ahead and use the name if you love it! Your sister (and any other nay-sayers will learn to love it when they meet your baby girl!). It’s a great, spunky, cheerful name, and I think it’s precious. My own sister is planning to use it for her daughter someday and I think it’s a winner! And [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is a great combo.
