Piper's Popularity

I love the name [name]Piper[/name]! It’s my #3 at the moment! But, I am a long ways away from having kids and I’m worried about [name]Piper[/name]'s popularity. It’s already at 110 and I wouldn’t be surprised if it entered the top 100 next year. So what do you guys think? Is it just a trend or in 5-10 years time will it be in the top 50?

I like to keep track of how popular names are in different states. [name]Just[/name] for your information, here’s the breakdown. [name]Piper[/name] is already in the top 50 in some areas. It moved up quite a bit from 2010. I think it may reach the top 50 (if it does) sooner than 5 years from now. [name]How[/name] long its popularity will last is anyone’s guess. I don’t see it being as enduringly popular as say, [name]Emily[/name] or [name]Emma[/name].

Have you considered Peppin, [name]Pepper[/name], or [name]Poppy[/name]? I don’t know the popularity of those–[name]Poppy[/name] might be up there–but they feel fresher to me. Or [name]Fifer[/name]?
