I like [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] for a girl, for me it represents [name_m]Cyprus[/name_m]. I also like nature names, so this is a two for one in my name world.
Other place names I like for girls, including [name_u]Brighton[/name_u]: [name_u]Holland[/name_u], [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f], [name_f]Venice[/name_f], [name_u]Paris[/name_u](popular though), [name_u]London[/name_u](still popular), [name_f]Ireland[/name_f], [name_u]Dallas[/name_u] (guilty pleasure), [name_u]Jericho[/name_u](I like this for a boy as well), Ashland, Providence, and [name_f]Olympia[/name_f].
My favourites would have to be:

[name_f]Delphi[/name_f]
Illyria
[name_f]Thera[/name_f]
Caprasia
If you’re open to more modern place names, here are a few more atypical favorites:
[name_u]Juneau[/name_u] (maybe added bonus that [name_f]Juno[/name_f] has some mythological cred?)
[name_u]Dakota[/name_u]
[name_u]Aberdeen[/name_u]
Riga
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_m]Laramie[/name_m]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

[name_f]Vienna[/name_f]
Illyria
[name_f]Elysia[/name_f] (does mythological count?)
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Havilah[/name_f] (Biblical place name)
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] (same)
[name_u]Ariel[/name_u] (according to Nameberry, same, although I’ve read through the Bible twice and don’t remember a place called [name_u]Ariel[/name_u]? I could have just not noticed it, though… I do prefer [name_f]Ariella[/name_f], personally, but [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] is nice, too.)
[name_u]Ashley[/name_u]/[name_f]Natalie[/name_f] (haha, there’s an [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] and a [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] in my state, which we’ve always found super cool, because I’m [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] and my little sister is [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]. It’s hardly the usual suspect, though!)
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Parisa[/name_f] (does this count? I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Parisa[/name_f], but am pretty meh about just [name_u]Paris[/name_u])
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]India[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Iona[/name_f] (island off [name_f]Scotland[/name_f])
[name_f]Ionia[/name_f] (Greek island)
[name_u]Arden[/name_u] (English forest, and also a mashup of [name_f]Arcadia[/name_f] & [name_u]Eden[/name_u])
Avonlea (place in [name_f]Anne[/name_f] of [name_u]Green[/name_u] Gables)
[name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] ([name_u]London[/name_u] district)
My all time favourite is [name_f]Savannah[/name_f].

[name_f]Olympia[/name_f]
[name_f]Sahara[/name_f]
[name_f]Samara[/name_f]
[name_f]Venice[/name_f]
@peachymum
I love the sound of [name_f]Italia[/name_f]! Didn’t know if it was okay to use without a drop of Italian in me or my husband!
@lumen
I had [name_f]Thessaly[/name_f] on my list, I took it off cause I was worried about kids prounouncing it. I like [name_f]Venezia[/name_f], is it wearable?
@knnames
I love [name_u]Vale[/name_u]! I’ve had as a middle name option!
I have no Italian in me what’s so ever - fully born & bred English girl - but I have no problem using it at all, it’s to beautiful to pass up. I guess to me it’s no different than someone calling their child [name_f]China[/name_f] or [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] yet not having Irish/Chinese blood or ties.
