Plato/Platon?

I would love to hear your thoughts on [name_m]Plato[/name_m] — it’s one of these names I’d actually consider using in real life. Is it doable? I know it might sound pretentious to some people but this does not bother me. I’m also toying with the idea of using Platon, a form of [name_m]Plato[/name_m] which is more popular where I live. What would you say?

I actually quite like [name_m]Plato[/name_m] I am not too keen on Platon. It sounds kind of like [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] and the trendy -on names that I am kind of just way over at this point.

I prefer [name_m]Plato[/name_m] - it has a cool, modern vibe while also being very bold

Honestly? I like [name_m]Plato[/name_m] in theory - not love, but like - but I can’t get behind it because I pronounce it the same way I pronounced Play-Doh, and then it just sounds kinda silly to me. I’m not too keen on Platon either, something about it sounds off and not quite name-ish to my ears.

I like [name_m]Plato[/name_m] as a GP or as a pet name but I can’t imagine a child wearing it unfortunately. Sorry. To me it’s like naming your kid [name_m]Socrates[/name_m]. It’s well known but just too unique at the same time. Also I could see people misunderstanding it as Play Doh. I think you could use it as middle tho. Platon sounds made up to me so not a fan.
