Played Around With My List, What Do You Think ~?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone ~!

They’re all lovely, I especially like [name_u]Percy[/name_u] [name_u]Wolf[/name_u] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Darling[/name_f]!

Apart from that, and just a thought that popped into my head while reading your list, I think you perfectly captured the Nameberry-aesthetic with your combos (if there were such a thing) - a lovely mix of familiar and whimsical :relaxed:

Totally! I’ve played around with [name_u]Eliott[/name_u] (actually from making anagrams of [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] or something) but it doesn’t look quite right either.

Hi there.

Here are my thoughts on the lists:

Boys-

**πš›πš˜πš πšŠπš— πšŠπšπš•πšŠπšœ-This is a great combo. It flows really well, & has a strong handsome yet still gentle & kind nature vibe.

πšπš’πš—πš•πšŽπš’ πš‘πšŠπš πš”-Ooh, I love this. I really prefer Finely for a boy myself. I think it’s charming. But if it is a little bit soft, [name_m]Hawk[/name_m] is a great way to toughen it up!

πšœπš‘πšŽπš™πš‘πšŽπš›πš πš–πšŠπš‘πš πšŽπš•πš•-This is a fine combo, but I just don’t love [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]. Not sure why. I don’t love the sound of it, & it feels more like a word than a name.

πš•πšŽπš˜ πšŠπšπš•πšŽπš›-[name_m]Leo[/name_m], although getting so popular!, is really darling. I don’t personally love the sound of [name_u]Adler[/name_u], but his combo is nice.

πš›πšŽπš–πš’ πš‘πšžπšπšœπš˜πš—-I like [name_u]Remy[/name_u]. It’s sweet & a little quirky. [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] is not my style, because it feels so trendy, but I do think that this combo flows really well.

πš“πšŠπšœπš™πšŽπš› πšŽπš•πš•πš’πš˜πš-This combo is good. I’m not into [name_u]Jasper[/name_u], but it’s not bad. [name_m]Just[/name_m] sounds goofy to me, but most people seem to like it.

πš‘πšŽπš›πšœπšŒπš‘πšŽπš• πšŠπšžπšπšžπš–πš—-That’s kind of a cool unexpected combo. I don’t much care for [name_m]Herschel[/name_m], but at least it’s different.

πšŠπš–πš˜πšœ πšπš•πšŽπšπšŒπš‘πšŽπš›-[name_u]Amos[/name_u] is strong & interesting. Well known & simple, but pretty unique. [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] is a quirky mn, that sounds really cute w/Amos.

πš›πšžπšπšžπšœ πš˜πšœπšŒπšŠπš›-I don’t know that I care for [name_m]Rufus[/name_m]. It just sounds a little too quirky for me, but it’s interesting. I love the [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] part.

πš‘πšŽπš—πš›πš’ πš πš’πš•πšπšŽ-That’s very handsome! [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is super popular, but it’s a great name & [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Wilde[/name_u] sounds really cool.

𝚘𝚝𝚝𝚘 πšπš›πš’πšπšπš’πš—-Neither name is quite my style, but this combo is fun. [name_u]Griffin[/name_u] just sounds too much like β€˜gruff’ to me, & I like the sound of [name_m]Otto[/name_m], but something about the looks of it isn’t appealing. That’s just my issue! It’s a perfectly fine name.

πšœπš’πš•πšŠπšœ πš›πš’πšŸπšŽπš›-Oh, that’s nice. Handsome & kind of rugged yet kind.

πš πš’πš•πš‹πšžπš› πšπš˜πš›πšŽπšœπš-I don’t love the sound of [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] that much, but it’s not awful. This is an unique combo.

πš™πšŽπš›πšŒπš’ πš πš˜πš•πš-I like [name_u]Percy[/name_u] better as a nn for [name_m]Percival[/name_m]. I appreciate how [name_u]Wolf[/name_u] is kind of tough to toughen up [name_u]Percy[/name_u] (like [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Hawk[/name_m]), but I just don’t know if these go together.

Girls-

πš˜πš•πš’πšŸπšŽ πš“πš˜πšœπšŽπš™πš‘πš’πš—πšŽ-[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is so fun & quirky & artsy & classic. And [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is just elegant & timeless & perfect w/Olive.

πšŽπš•πšŽπšŠπš—πš˜πš› πš–πšŠπšŽπšŸπšŽ-I pretty much love this one too. It’s sleek & bold but feminine & classic.

πš™πšŽπš—πšŽπš•πš˜πš™πšŽ πš˜πš™πšŠπš•-I really like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. It’s fun & pretty & has great nns. I don’t mind [name_f]Opal[/name_f] in the mn spot, but the look of this has too many 'p’s & 'o’s.

πš–πšŠπš‹πšŽπš• πšπšŠπš›πš•πš’πš—πš-I like [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] a lot. It’s sweet & old fashioned & a little quirky. This combo flows well, but I’d have a hard time taking [name_f]Darling[/name_f] seriously as a name.

πšπš πš’πš•πšŠ πš“πšžπš—πšŽ-This flows fine, but I don’t at all care for [name_f]Twila[/name_f]. It feels kind of lady of the night like to me.

πšπš˜πš›πš˜πšπš‘πš’ πš πš’πš•πšπšŽ-I actually do like [name_u]Wilde[/name_u] as a mn for a boy or a girl, & [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] is a fun classic. I just don’t like how this has too many 'd’s, because I’m really picky!

πšŽπšπš’πšπš‘ πš•πš˜πšŸπšŽπšπšŠπš’-[name_f]Edith[/name_f] is adorable. [name_u]Loveday[/name_u] is a bit much in my opinion, & I don’t think this flows that well. Something about the β€˜th’ & β€˜v’ together.

πš πš’πš—πš—πš’πšŽ πšπš›πšŠπš—πšŒπšŽπšœ-Aw, I love [name_f]Winnie[/name_f]. It’s just lovable! I do prefer it as a nn, but I like it enough to be okay w/it on its own if you don’t prefer any of the full names. [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] is just charming.

πš›πš˜πšœπšŠπš•πš’πš— πšœπš—πš˜πš -I’m not sure how to pronounce this. I think I’d prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], even though I never know which way to say that either! It just looks sleeker.

πš–πšŠπš›πš’πšπš˜πš•πš πš‹πš•πš’πšπš‘πšŽ-Ooh, that’s pretty & classic. [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is sweet & smart.

πš•πšžπšŒπš’ πšπšŽπš›πš—-That’s just the cutest. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is so classic & friendly & lovable. And [name_f]Fern[/name_f] is smart & spunky & interesting.

πš’πš—πšŽπšœ πš πš’πš—πšπšŽπš›-I don’t mind the combo, but neither name really does much for me.

πšŒπš•πšŠπš›πšŠ πš‘πšŠπš£πšŽπš•**-Ooh, very pretty.

Hope this helps.

I pronounce [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f] like [name_f]Roz[/name_f]-a-lynn btw, I played with [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] for a while but I love [name_f]Rosalyn[/name_f]’s laid back feel.

Love your combos! The ones that stand out to me are:

Please don’t- Rosalind is my dead name, everyone said t as rose-uh-lin. I think Rosalyn would be even worse. Maybe Rozalyn?

Thank you for coming forward about this! That is good to know, though I figured because I once pronounced it wrong too
