I am playing around with names I like. Trying to figure out what I would choose, based on the fact that I like both names from Greek mythology and names from Victorian literature. This is just me being silly, but I’d really like to know what people think of the names I’m playing with. I was thinking Victorian heroine, but I also like Greek middle names.
Catherine Victoria
Catherine Elizabeth (too Royal?)
Catherine Iris
Catherine Muse
The rhythm of [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Nix[/name] is great.
I like [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Katherine[/name] about equally. [name]Catherine[/name] feels more French and subdued, [name]Katherine[/name] more Greek and active (although also more modern, a bit). I happen to be really fond of [name]Kathryn[/name] for feeling more “English” and even medieval.
I think adults use [name]Kate[/name]/[name]Cate[/name]. I know a [name]Cate[/name] personally and there is actress [name]Cate[/name] Blanchett.
I don’t see why a [name]Catherine[/name] couldn’t spell her nickname [name]Kate[/name] if she wanted to, though.
I prefer [name]Catherine[/name] w nn [name]Kate[/name]. I don’t think [name]Cate[/name] is necessary. I also like [name]Cat[/name]. I know adult called [name]Cat[/name], [name]Kathy[/name]/[name]Cathy[/name], [name]Kate[/name] & [name]Katie[/name]. I also know Catherines that only go by [name]Catherine[/name].
I like [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Nyx[/name]
I like [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Selene[/name] [name]Alexandria[/name]
[name]How[/name] about [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Alexandria[/name] [name]Nyx[/name]? It does spell CAN & have a few xs…but I love it!
I like [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Nyx[/name] and I think its fine to use the nickname [name]Kate[/name] without spelling [name]Catherine[/name] with a K.
What do people think about two middle names? I keep coming up with other ones - [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Octavia[/name] [name]Muse[/name], for example, or [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Selene[/name] [name]Lavinia[/name]? Or are they better as just [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Octavia[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Lavinia[/name]?
First thing that came to mind was [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Iris[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] [name]IMO[/name] it’s beautiful and has a real good ring to it
