[name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl, due in [name_u]November[/name_u]. First name has been decided: [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. Middle name has to meet the following criteria: 1. can’t start with M (FML as initials = not good); 2. Can’t end in a long /e/ sound (i.e., Annie or Daisy)
Nicknames could be: Wren, Flora, Florrie, Flora-Bee (love! if MN starts with B)
I like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Ohara[/name_u] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] the best.
I prefer [name_f]Bella[/name_f] to [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] [name_m]Larry[/name_m] sounds better than [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_m]Larry[/name_m]. Not sure why but the A helps separate them for me. Great choices! good luck!
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] is adorable! I generally don’t like just [name_f]Bella[/name_f] alone (it’s always seemed quite cutesy and nicknamey, when in fact it’s very vintage. I wish I could see it that way!), and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is generally not my thing, but [name_f]Bella[/name_f] makes [name_f]Florence[/name_f] cool! [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] is adorable, imo, and you can still use [name_f]Flora[/name_f]-[name_f]Bee[/name_f]. Or even Florabella, if you wanted.
Consensus is generally [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f] & [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] are popular ones. I am thinking now that Bella won’t work because the combo “Florence Bella” sounds super Italian (city & word) - and we are not even remotely Italian. Ha. Does it sounds very Italian to you?
Olivia is still in the race with two new ones that I thought of when thinking of single syllable B names like Bella:
What about [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Bette[/name_f]? [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f]?
@farie - I like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Ohara[/name_u] too… It’s spunky isn’t it?
I like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] from the original list. (That was before reading any of the responses.)
Of the other suggestions mentioned, I like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] the most.
I love [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]! I like the pairing of a waiting-for-revival name (At least it is in the US… not sure about other countries) with something more trendy yet also classic.
From your original list I love [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] (both names are on my own lists) and I love the nickname flora-bee. From other suggestions I love [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f], how about [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f] or [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]?
Well, I would suggest [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] as a mn. I still love [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Bella[/name_f], but they sound weird with the last name. [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] sounds less weird than [name_f]Bella[/name_f], though.
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f], [name_u]Ohara[/name_u], and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] are not for me, but also I think they may be a bit too much paired with [name_f]Florence[/name_f]?
I guess what I’m getting at is to give her something a little more normal in the middle to kind of balance it out and/or fall back on. I think [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] sounds best with the last name and the first name =]
I apologize if I come off bitchy. I just know how it feels to get teased about having a name that’s different. And I would hate for that to happen to your baby girl.
Good luck, anyways, and congratulations on your little human, haha.
I like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Bella[/name_f].
Also I think
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f]
And
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
Are pretty names
I like the flow of [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] the best of all the choices. If you wanted to step out of the box even more with her name (as [name_f]Florence[/name_f] isn’t so common) then I’d say [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Ohara[/name_u].
Btw, you could call [name_f]Florence[/name_f] “[name_f]Lola[/name_f]” I’d do it.
