We have a 16 month old named [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and I am currently 4 days past due with our second daughter. We are second guessing names left and right and keep adding more to the list… Part of me thinks this baby won’t come because we can’t decide what to name her!
Throughout the entire pregnancy I have loved [name_u]June[/name_u] and it has been my favorite name. I find peers like it, but family and people my parent’s generation aren’t so sure. We used to like [name_f]Frances[/name_f] ([name_f]Francie[/name_f] as a nn) but that has fallen off due largely to some recent new names.
Right now this is our list:

[name_f]Tess[/name_f] (my husband would rank [name_f]Tess[/name_f] slightly lower, but still a possibility)
I love the “sweetly old-fashioned” short and simple names (when I was pregnant before I loved [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]- but my husband threw in [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and that is what stuck).
We have a long hyphenated last name and aren’t doing middle names (last name sounds like [name_m]Foster[/name_m]-[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u])

I see [name_f]Isla[/name_f] as a sweet name for a little girl whose name grows up with her, so it still sounds beautiful on an adult.
[name_u]June[/name_u] while not a favourite of mine, meets the same criteria for me. It sounds nice on a baby and wonderful on an adult.
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] are very cutesy so to me they don’t age (as) well.
[name_f]Tess[/name_f] sounds very modern, I think [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tess[/name_f] would be a more fitting name (unless you don’t like it of course).
[name_u]June[/name_u] would make a sweet sister for [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. If you’ve loved this name through the entire pregnancy, I think maybe you just have last-minute jitters! And it always throws you when the extended family doesn’t love the name.
Does your husband love [name_u]June[/name_u] too, or does he have a different favorite?
I think [name_u]June[/name_u] matches [name_f]Ilsa[/name_f] perfectly: short and vintage sweet! I’ve always liked [name_f]Tess[/name_f], although I would perhaps go for [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is adorable, but like pp said I think names like [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] ([name_f]Maisie[/name_f] more than [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]) are maybe better as nicknames as they may not suit an adult wanting to be taken seriously (imagine Prime Minister [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_m]Judge[/name_m] [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], etc). My pick would be [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Margot[/name_f] - which i think goes great with [name_f]Isla[/name_f]!
long story short - I think it sounds like [name_u]June[/name_u] is where you heart lies!
I really like the choices you suggested already! I love the name [name_u]June[/name_u]- especially because I think the nickname Junebug is the cutest thing ever.
As another [name_u]Berry[/name_u] said before, [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] are super cute but they dont age as well as some other names. Maybe you could use those as nicknames for longer fullname? [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] could be short for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_u]Marion[/name_u], [name_f]Marissa[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Mayella[/name_f], etc. [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] could be short for [name_f]Sadira[/name_f]. Have you ever thought of [name_u]Sage[/name_u]? I think this could be very pretty too.
