Please help decide on a boys' name!

I’m posting this on behalf of a berry who’s having technical issues:

We’re struggling to agree on a boys name. - my husband is sold on [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] while I prefer [name_m]Nash[/name_m] and [name_m]Mack[/name_m]. We have a little boy called [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] and our surname starts with a D.

What are people’s thoughts on the following names:
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] aka [name_u]Ollie[/name_u]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m]
[name_m]Mack[/name_m]
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m]
[name_u]Jesse[/name_u]

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] and [name_m]Mack[/name_m] are not my style at all… I’d go with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].

My favorite is [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] “[name_u]Ollie[/name_u]” and I think it’s really cute with [name_f]Pacey[/name_f]. [name_m]Nash[/name_m] also works well with [name_f]Pacey[/name_f]. While I love [name_m]Xavier[/name_m], it feels like a mismatch to me with [name_f]Pacey[/name_f]. [name_m]Mack[/name_m] & [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] are my least favorites.

I think [name_m]Nash[/name_m] or [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] fits the best. [name_m]Nash[/name_m] because it’s unusual like [name_f]Pacey[/name_f], or [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] because it’s ambiguous like [name_f]Pacey[/name_f].

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] or [name_u]Jesse[/name_u].

Agree with this! [name_m]Nash[/name_m] and [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] are the best stylistic fits, however, [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] and [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] rhyme, so for me [name_m]Nash[/name_m] is the only option, and a sweet choice! ^^

I agree with [name_m]Nash[/name_m] and [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] for the reasons southern.maple described!

[name_f]Pacey[/name_f] and [name_m]Nash[/name_m]
[name_f]Pacey[/name_f] and [name_u]Jesse[/name_u]
Both are handsome and adorable sibsets!

[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] - not the hugest [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] fan, although I wish I could appreciate it, because it’s a family name. [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] sounds adorable, but I almost see [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] more as a MN for [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] than a brother for him? I think it’s easier to contrast styles in a combo and get away with it working great more so than with sibling names. Like I love my [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] [name_m]Andreas[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] combo, but I’m not sure I’d name brothers [name_m]Boaz[/name_m], [name_m]Andreas[/name_m], and [name_m]Henry[/name_m]? They just seem to be quite different styles.
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Nash[/name_m] okay, and I think [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] and [name_m]Nash[/name_m] go really, really well together, but I like a couple of your other names more with [name_f]Pacey[/name_f].
[name_m]Mack[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Mac/name_m a lot (although I prefer it without the “K”). It does seem a bit nicknamey to me, but I guess no more so than [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] (although [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] feels very surnamey to me, so it doesn’t really seem nicknamey at all?). [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] and [name_m]Mac/name_m is really cute, though.
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m] - [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m], and [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] and [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] sounds adorable to me. They may not even be stylistic matches, but I love the idea of them together. This is by far my favorite for some reason.
[name_u]Jesse[/name_u] - [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] and [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] sound too rhymey for me, although they do work well together stylistically.

I would rank them [name_m]Xavier[/name_m], [name_m]Mack[/name_m], [name_m]Nash[/name_m], [name_u]Jesse[/name_u], then [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], I think.

Good luck!

[name_u]Jesse[/name_u] feels like the best of your options. It is great with [name_f]Pacey[/name_f], and [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] has the charm and swagger of [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Stamos[/name_m]

I love [name_m]Nash[/name_m] for you. It’s recognizable but uncommon enough that it fits well with [name_f]Pacey[/name_f].

my personal favorites:

[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m]
[name_u]Jesse[/name_u]

with [name_f]Pacey[/name_f]:

[name_m]Nash[/name_m]

I would eliminate [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] for sounding too similar to [name_f]Pacey[/name_f], and [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] for being too different in style.

So back to [name_m]Nash[/name_m], [name_m]Mack[/name_m] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. I actually think the style of [name_m]Nash[/name_m] and [name_m]Mack[/name_m] matches better with [name_f]Pacey[/name_f], which strikes me as super laidback. [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] feels more formal to me, but it works too (I see now [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] is actually a surname which adds a more serious element to it).

Maybe [name_m]Mack[/name_m]/[name_m]Mac[/name_m] as a nickname? [name_m]Cormac[/name_m], [name_m]Malachy[/name_m], [name_m]Macauley[/name_m] (also a surname), [name_m]Madoc[/name_m]/[name_m]Maddock[/name_m]… [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought. Good luck!

My favorite is [name_m]Nash[/name_m].

[name_m]Nash[/name_m] is my choice, for sure!
