I prefer [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]! It has a similar feeling to [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] in that it’s modern but has a very familiar feminine feeling (without having the same ending). [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is wonderful with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]!
Congratulations! I personally prefer [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] by far, I also think that it matches a bit better with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] because it’s rather soft sounding too whereas [name_f]Cora[/name_f] is rather strong sounding because of the strong r (in my opinion), I love [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] (if that’s an option)
I vote for [name_f]Cora[/name_f]! [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] works really well with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] they feel similar stylistically without having another ‘a’ ending name which could cause issues with further children. I also like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] teamed with [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and that both sisters have flower middle names.
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] Pros-Playful, vintage, smart, kind, a little homey but in a bright way. It goes nicely w/Olivia (very pretty, by the way!). It has a natural nn of [name_f]Addie[/name_f].
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] Cons-I feel like Add-uh-line is fairly obvious, but this may get mistaken for Add-uh-lyn some. [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] is sooooo popular in my area. I rarely meet Adelines. I occasionally meet Adelaides. I often hear Addisons & basically every little girl is [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f]. Another could be con is the natural nn of [name_f]Addie[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Addie[/name_f]? If you do, it’s a pro! But it’s a con if you don’t, because I feel like it may be somewhat unavoidable.
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] Pros-Simple, timeless, feminine w/out being frilly, kind & soft but not too soft. Goes nicely w/Olivia. Not too terribly popular.
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] Cons-A little bit popular. People may be tempted to call her [name_f]Cori[/name_f] sometimes, but I don’t think it’s as likely as [name_f]Addie[/name_f]. And again, if you like [name_f]Cori[/name_f], this isn’t a con.
Sooo, it looks like [name_f]Cora[/name_f] has less cons. I think! I personally prefer [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], but because of the [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] fiasco, I’d be more tempted to use [name_f]Cora[/name_f] myself. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] my rambling helps.
I much prefer [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and I think [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] & [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] are both lovely options
Thank you all!! I think we have decided on [name_f]Cora[/name_f]! Although love [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], I feel like the nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f] isn’t my fave & it’s also long to use with a long last name.
Deciding now between [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f], and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].
