Please help me name Baby #3!

We are expecting #3 on [name]September[/name] 15, and we are not finding out the gender. We’ve narrowed our names down to 5 for each gender. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Our son is [name]Liam[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] (named before [name]Liam[/name] was crazy popular), and our daughter is [name]Ellison[/name] [name]Fay[/name].

BOYS: (MN will be [name]Joseph[/name], after DH’s grandfather)
[name]Atticus[/name]
[name]Calvin[/name]
[name]Hans[/name]
[name]Malachi[/name]
[name]Matthias[/name]

GIRLS: (thinking MN either [name]Rae[/name], after my sister, [name]Rachel[/name], or [name]Michele[/name], after my mom, but not totally decided)
[name]Annelise[/name]
[name]Annika[/name]
[name]Carys[/name]
[name]Juliette[/name]
[name]Vivienne[/name]

[name]Love[/name] them? Hate them?

BOYS: (MN will be [name]Joseph[/name], after DH’s grandfather)
[name]Atticus[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]- Loves the names separately but together the endings of both sound too similar.
[name]Calvin[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]- Cute.
[name]Hans[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]- I like this. It sounds very European to me.
[name]Malachi[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]- [name]Love[/name] this.
[name]Matthias[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]- [name]Love[/name] this but depending on the pronunciation, it might have the same issue as [name]Atticus[/name].

GIRLS: (thinking MN either [name]Rae[/name], after my sister, [name]Rachel[/name], or [name]Michele[/name], after my mom, but not totally decided)
[name]Annelise[/name] [name]Rae[/name] or [name]Annelise[/name] [name]Michelle[/name]-- I think they are both pretty.
[name]Annika[/name] [name]Rae[/name] or [name]Annika[/name] [name]Michelle[/name]. I prefer [name]Annika[/name] [name]Rae[/name].
[name]Carys[/name] [name]Rae[/name] or [name]Carys[/name] [name]Michelle[/name]. I love [name]Carys[/name]. I think it sounds pretty either way.
[name]Juliette[/name] [name]Rae[/name] or [name]Juliette[/name] [name]Michelle[/name]. I prefer [name]Juliette[/name] [name]Rae[/name].
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Rae[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Michelle[/name]. I love [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Rae[/name].

Of the boys names, I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Atticus[/name], Malachai, and [name]Matthias[/name]. For the girls, I love [name]Carys[/name], [name]Juliette[/name], and [name]Vivienne[/name].

Those are all very nice names! I don’t hate any of them. My favorites of the boys are [name]Atticus[/name] and [name]Malachi[/name]. My favorites of the girls are [name]Carys[/name] and [name]Juliette[/name]. My least favorites are [name]Hans[/name] and [name]Annika[/name]. All of them are nice choices though!

I love [name]Atticus[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] and [name]Malachi[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] for the boys and [name]Annelise[/name] [name]Michelle[/name], [name]Annika[/name] [name]Michelle[/name], and [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Michelle[/name]. I prefer [name]Michelle[/name] over [name]Rae[/name], but it also depends on your last name.

I would go with [name]Malachi[/name] [name]Joseph[/name], [name]Juliette[/name] [name]Rae[/name], or [name]Annika[/name] [name]Michele[/name]. They sound best with your kids names, in my opinion. Good luck!

Thanks, everyone! DH loves [name]Atticus[/name] and [name]Juliette[/name] - I love [name]Carys[/name] and [name]Vivienne[/name]. We might end up waiting until the baby’s born to actually make a decision. It’s so much harder when you have sibling names to “match” also!!

[name]Atticus[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] – I love [name]Atticus[/name] and this is a great combination!
[name]Calvin[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] – love [name]Calvin[/name], not sure how well it flows with [name]Joseph[/name]
[name]Hans[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] – [name]Hans[/name] is a nice name, might sound a bit out of place with your other two if you care about that…I don’t really
[name]Malachi[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] – love this one, too!
[name]Matthias[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] – don’t like this one as much

[name]Annelise[/name] [name]Rae[/name]- love it, sounds great with [name]Ellison[/name] [name]Fay[/name]
[name]Annika[/name] – love this name, too
[name]Carys[/name] – not really a fan of this
[name]Juliette[/name] - it’s okay
[name]Vivienne[/name] - love this one…[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Ray[/name] would be cute

I love [name]Hans[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] and [name]Annelise[/name] [name]Michele[/name] the best. I think they would fit in well with your other two.

We mix up cultural names all the time here. That’s the point, to picks names from our various heritages. Our next child will have a more [name]German[/name] name, and we already have Irish, French, and Italian names. I love the idea of it.

Congrats on baby #3!!

I think [name]Calvin[/name] and [name]Liam[/name] have the most common roots the others don’t fit the gaelic mould.

So [name]Calvin[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] or [name]Malachi[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] nn [name]Kai[/name] would be my choices.

I just love [name]Anneliese[/name] and [name]Anneliese[/name] [name]Michelle[/name] is super pretty.

Good luck.

rollo

[name]Lori[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] your idea for the sibset. I was struggling to figure out how this baby will fit into our naming “style” - you nailed it! Thanks!!

Gigigibbons - My husband’s family is [name]German[/name], and I’m of English/Danish/French/Irish descent, so we are also drawn to names from various traditions! [name]Do[/name] you mind sharing your kids’ names?! I love your “future” choices!

Thanks so much everyone - so much great insight! With [name]Annelise[/name], do you prefer the Danish or [name]German[/name] spelling? I prefer [name]Anneliese[/name] ([name]German[/name]), but my husband says it’s too “complicated” and likes [name]Annelise[/name] (Danish).

I prefer [name]Annelise[/name]. A bit more streamlined and I never can remember if it is -ie or -ei.

I love your children’s names!
[name]Liam[/name], [name]Ellison[/name] & [name]Atticus[/name] is perfect!
For a girl, I like [name]Liam[/name], [name]Ellison[/name], & [name]Juliette[/name]!

just a word to the wise, [name]Anneliese[/name] could hold potential for teasing: “Anal-ease” just a warning lol!
