Please help me narrow down my list for baby #2!

My husband and I are currently TTC [name]Baby[/name] #2, but I’m already dreaming about baby names! I would [name]LOVE[/name] some opinions on the names on my list. My DS #1’s name is [name]Rocco[/name] [name]Andrew[/name] Petrick. (Last name is pronounced pet-trick, not pee-trick. lol).

If we have a girl- the middle name is already decided, it will be [name]Ashleigh[/name] (my younger sister’s name is [name]Ashley[/name], youngest sister’s middle name is [name]Leigh[/name]). If we have a boy, the middle name is up in the air.

The names are not in any order of preference.

Thank you!!!

BOYS:

[name]Silas[/name] Petrick

[name]Remy[/name] Petrick

[name]Cohen[/name] Petrick

[name]Milo[/name] Petrick

[name]Cruz[/name] Petrick

GIRLS:

[name]Shay[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] Petrick

[name]Remy[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] Petrick

[name]Aurora[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] Petrick

[name]Ruby[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] Petrick

[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] Petrick

[name]Posey[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] Petrick

[name]Charlie[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] Petrick

[name]Jolie[/name]/Joelie/[name]Joley[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] Petrick (can call her [name]Joe[/name])

[name]Greer[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] Petrick

I like

[name]Milo[/name] and [name]Remy[/name] from your boy’s list
and
[name]Posey[/name] and [name]Jolie[/name] from your girl’s

I like [name]Cruz[/name] best for a brother to [name]Rocco[/name]. From your list of girls, I think [name]Greer[/name] sounds best with [name]Ashleigh[/name].

I like [name]Cruz[/name] with [name]Silas[/name] a distant second. [name]Both[/name] names sound good with [name]Rocco[/name] if you end up having one with that name, as well.

For girls I would say [name]Shay[/name] Petrick sounds great, but the “sh” in it and [name]Ashleigh[/name] is something to consider. I’ve always found [name]Aurora[/name] weird to say so I would knock that out. The rest are all 2 syllable firsts with a 2 syllable middle and 2 syllable last, so I’m not sure how I like that. Ignoring the syllable thing, [name]Poppy[/name] and [name]Posey[/name] Petrick have the repeating p sound which isn’t my favorite thing to do. [name]Jolie[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] and [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Ashleigh[/name] end with the “lee” sound in both the first and middle name, which may or may not be another consideration in narrowing down your list. That leaves [name]Greer[/name], [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Remy[/name]. [name]Greer[/name] has always been the last name of a family I grew up with or the name of a small mountain town in my state, so it doesn’t feel like a first name to me at all. Of the remaining two, [name]Ruby[/name] Petrick is very nice (I’ve never really liked [name]Remy[/name]). However, put with [name]Ashleigh[/name], they both have the “ee” ending. So for me [name]Ashleigh[/name] doesn’t work well with these first names, but that’s your for sure name so I guess the ones I like the best are [name]Shay[/name] followed by [name]Ruby[/name]. Obviously, this is just my opinion so please don’t take offense.

I love [name]Remy[/name] (for a boy only). From your girls list, only [name]Greer[/name] caught my attention.

My favorite of your boys’ list is [name]Cruz[/name]. I think it flows the best with your last name and it sounds great with your son’s name. As for girls’ names, I love [name]Shay[/name], [name]Aurora[/name], and [name]Jolie[/name], but I don’t think they flow well with the middle name [name]Ashleigh[/name]. Those sound nice with your surname, though, and would have to be my favorites from your list.
