Middle name is already chosen “[name]Connor[/name]” so it has to work with that. My 2 yr old’s name is [name]Nash[/name] [name]Paul[/name], so it also needs to sound good with his name as well. My favorite right now is “[name]Locke[/name]” but hubby isn’t really on board… So here is what we are considering:
I also Like “[name]Hart[/name]” but hubby says no way =(
I like old world English/Celtic sounding names. I like very rare but not crazy, made up or out there sounding. These names sound strong to me, what are your impressions? I want the name to sound strong.
[name]Locke[/name] [name]Connor[/name] - I don’t like the hard “c” sound at the end of [name]Locke[/name] with the hard “c” sound at the beginning of [name]Connor[/name]. I like the name [name]Connor[/name] more than [name]Locke[/name].
[name]Ganon[/name] - This name has an unpleasant sound for me. I like [name]Gavin[/name] better because the “v” gives it a nice soft sound in the middle. Also like [name]Logan[/name] okay. The “L” sound is soft.
[name]Cormac[/name] - I love this name a lot, but I don’t think it sounds good with [name]Connor[/name]. There’s the hard “c” problem again plus both names are two syllables and start with a hard “C”. The flow isn’t that good.
[name]Do[/name] you like the name [name]Taran[/name]? [name]Taran[/name] is a character in the [name]Lloyd[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] books which are based on Welsh mythology. I also like the name [name]Zane[/name]. He is a character in the books “Pretties” and “Specials”.
[name]Locke[/name]: [name]Locke[/name] doesn’t flow with [name]Connor[/name] (the hard K sounds ruin the flow, making it sounds like La [name]Connor[/name] or [name]Lock[/name] Onner).
What about [name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Connor[/name]? It flows better, and your son can be called either [name]Lachlan[/name] ([name]Lock[/name]-lan) or [name]Locke[/name].
[name]Ganon[/name]: [name]Gannon[/name] [name]Connor[/name] has an odd flow to it, but it’s okay. [name]Gannon[/name] and [name]Garrett[/name] would be nice, too.
[name]Cormac[/name]: I like [name]Cormac[/name], but not with [name]Connor[/name] (too K heavy).
I think [name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Conor[/name] is a fantastic idea… Nn can be [name]Locke[/name] but he can always go back to [name]Lachlan[/name] for professional purposes.
I wanted to also suggest:
[name]Nolan[/name] [name]Conor[/name] (Irish, means [name]Noble[/name])
[name]Eagan[/name] [name]Conor[/name] (Irish, Very Mighty)
[name]Hagen[/name] [name]Conor[/name]
[name]Lennon[/name] [name]Conor[/name]
[name]Rafferty[/name] [name]Conor[/name] (rich, prosperous)
[name]Dale[/name] [name]Conor[/name]
[name]Darien[/name] [name]Conor[/name]
[name]Dermot[/name] [name]Conor[/name]
[name]Devin[/name] [name]Conor[/name] (or [name]Devan[/name])
[name]Finnegan[/name] [name]Conor[/name] nn [name]Finn[/name]
[name]Gallagher[/name] [name]Conor[/name] (eager helper)
[name]Reilly[/name] [name]Conor[/name] or [name]Riley[/name]
[name]Rogan[/name] [name]Conor[/name] (redhead)
[name]Ronan[/name] [name]Conor[/name]
[name]Sheridan[/name] [name]Conor[/name] (means wild though!)
[name_m]Locke[/name_m] is a lovely name but definitely prefer the longer version [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] with the nn [name_m]Locke[/name_m]. I also like [name_m]Ganon[/name_m] with [name_m]Connor[/name_m].
