Please help me!

[name]Hi[/name] there! I am expecting boy/girl twins at any moment now. We have settled on [name]Connor[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] for our son. Our last name is Downey. We are stuck on the girl name, and are deciding between [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Fiona[/name]. Which do you all like with [name]Connor[/name]?
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Christine[/name]

[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Christine[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Sloane[/name]

Other middles would be accepted as well.

Thank you!

With [name]Connor[/name], I think [name]Fiona[/name] would be better. My favorite is [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]. I also like [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] and [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Christine[/name].

I much much much prefer [name]Molly[/name]. I can’t really stand the name [name]Fiona[/name]. [name]Molly[/name] [name]Christine[/name] and [name]Connor[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] is super cute.

[name]Connor[/name] & [name]Molly[/name] go best!

I adore [name]Fiona[/name], and I think [name]Fiona[/name] Downey sounds miles better than [name]Molly[/name] Downey (which is a little too singsongy for me).

I love all your first/middle combos except for [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Sloane[/name] (don’t like the repeated OHN sound). Maybe [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Christine[/name] is my favorite, but again, they are all nice.

I like [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Sloane[/name] but you could alslo spell it [name]Fiona[/name] Slohne
i also like
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Christie[/name] ([name]Christine[/name])
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Alicia[/name]

[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]

I like [name]Molly[/name] [name]Christine[/name] or [name]Molly[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] best!

[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is very Scottish-Irish, but I love it! I think [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] is the best match to [name]Connor[/name] [name]Joseph[/name], though, with the classic anchor in there. I think [name]Molly[/name] is fine, but it’s a little cutesy next to strong [name]Connor[/name] - plus, [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Molly[/name] both have a similar “ah” sound that I don’t love matching.

Other ideas:

[name]Connor[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] and [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Molly[/name] - You could just use both names you like most…
[name]Connor[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] and [name]Maeve[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] - Nice Irish set with good classic middle names!
[name]Connor[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] and [name]Mary[/name] [name]Fiona[/name] - [name]Molly[/name] is a diminutive of [name]Mary[/name], so you might like the “official” form. [name]Mary[/name] [name]Fiona[/name] is a cute double name.

[name]Lemon[/name]

I love [name]Molly[/name] and it sounds so good with [name]Connor[/name], BUT [name]Molly[/name] Downey just doesn’t work. If you really love [name]Molly[/name] then use a variant of [name]Mary[/name]- [name]Mara[/name], [name]Mariel[/name], [name]Moira[/name], [name]Maren[/name], etc- and use [name]Molly[/name] as her nn

[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is lovely. You could also use a [name]Mary[/name] variant as the mn then you’d get [name]Fiona[/name] and [name]Molly[/name]

Thank you all so much, I appreciate your thoughts. This is such a hard decision!

I adore [name]Molly[/name]- but must agree [name]Fiona[/name] sounds slightly better with your LN.
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] is very striking.
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] would be awesome too.

Either work well with [name]Connor[/name]. [name]Connor[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] is a great name BTW.

I much prefer [name]Molly[/name]. I’d go for [name]Molly[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name].

I really, really dislike [name]Fiona[/name]. I find it extremely dated - there were several Fionas in my year at school, and we’re pushing 40.

I like [name]Fiona[/name] much better than [name]Molly[/name] – it’s a name she can wear into adulthood a lot more easily since it’s more sophisticated. I also think it goes better with [name]Connor[/name].

Btw, my great grandfather was named [name]Joseph[/name] [name]Connor[/name].

I like [name]Fiona[/name] best with both [name]Connor[/name] and Downey. My favorites are [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Maeve[/name], [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] (love this spelling), and [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name]. Beautiful names!

[QUOTE=lemon;1476152][name]Fiona[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is very Scottish-Irish, but I love it! [name]Lemon[/name] hits the nail on the head once again ;). [name]Love[/name] [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]!

With the handsome [name]Connor[/name] [name]Joseph[/name], I love [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]!

I [name]LOVE[/name] both [name]Molly[/name] AND [name]Fiona[/name], BUT I don’t like the double “y” endings that [name]Molly[/name] Downey creates. Therefore, I think that [name]Fiona[/name] is your winner. PLUS, I think [name]Conner[/name] and [name]Fiona[/name] sound spectacular together!

As for middle names, I think [name]Fiona[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is simply gorgeous.
