We are accidentally pregnant with baby #3 and I am stuck for boy names. We have an [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and a [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m].
This baby was conceived in Dubai, so [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] is on our list as it means “treasure” in Persian. [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] is an option, as a nod to my Jewish background. [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]William[/name_m] are both family names, and [name_m]Bowen[/name_m] has a special meaning to me (the name of the Island I grew up on). If we went with [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], the nn would be [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. Please help me decide!
Arthur Bowen or Jasper Bowen! I normally would prefer Jasper, and I love the connection it has for you. But I can’t resist the darling nickname Bear for Arthur!
I also love, love the name Bowen.
So, when I say [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is a family name, it was the name of my first cat. Who was so ugly my dad called HER [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] because he thought she must be a boy, and it stuck. But [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] was my first and eternal love, and the name holds so much happiness for me. Although I’m not sure how I would tell my son the story of his namesake.
I love [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]! And I think it goes well with [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]. (I really love your two older children’s names!)
My favorite sibset would be [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m], and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m]. (I think that [name_m]William[/name_m] matches best with classy [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. Plus, it’s such a handsome combo.)
I love [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m], and maybe keep [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] as a middle name? Though it’s common enough that you may not ever have to explain where the name come from. I think [name_m]Bowen[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is cool too.
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Bowen[/name_m] has a great ring to it! All your options are good, but I think this one has the best sound. I remember seeing a post on here a while back where someone said a certain name was off the table because it was name of a pet they had growing up, so it’s cool to see someone who feels the opposite!
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m]
I’d choose [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m], because I think [name_f]Antonia[/name_f], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] are equally matched style-wise and popularity-wise.
As for middle names, especially regarding the boys, both [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]William[/name_m] are equally classic names.
[name_m]Bowen[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] could be “[name_m]Bear[/name_m]” as well! [name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_m]Bowen[/name_m] on its own, though! [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_m]Bowen[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] sounds wonderful to me, despite the “W” in both! I think it pairs beautifully with [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]!
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_m]Bowen[/name_m] is so cute and it is something you don’t hear a lot. [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] seems too old fashioned. And [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] is way overused compared to the uniqueness of your other kids names. But I, also, love Bowen and Arthur could be a mn.
I like [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_m]Bowen[/name_m] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Bowen[/name_m], and [name_m]Bear[/name_m] is the cutest nickname. Good luck!
