[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all, I’ve posted a few times trying to land on a name for my boy due in a few months. When I had my son [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] even though I had a long list I had a gut feeling about his name which I don’t have this time around.
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] used to be at the top of my list but I think I’ve fallen out of love with it and I suspect I only liked it because I love nn [name_u]Eli[/name_u]. (Not super keen on [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and I don’t think it’s very well known in Australia).
[name_m]Long[/name_m] story short, here is my long list of names and I’m keen to hear your top 4 out of this list. I’m also interested to know why you love the names and any thoughts that come to mind about characteristics. Appreciate your help!
I just named my son [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] so I am biased. I thought we would use the nickname [name_u]Eli[/name_u] but it doesn’t really fit him. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband vetoed [name_u]Elias[/name_u].
I think [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is really sweet. It really works even though I had some doubts when I was pregnant but the minute I saw him I knew he was [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] and its super fitting!
Of your list I also like:
Wyatt - we gave similar taste because this was on my list too! I ended up eliminating it due to it being so popular but its a great name. Its rugged and masculine to me yet the popularity of it has softened it up a bit if that makes sense
Adrian - i love this because its soft yet handsome
Fox - I’ve been loving [name_u]Fox[/name_u] lately but probably for a middle. Its bold and bright
Milo and [name_m]Otis[/name_m] remind me of pet names but I do like them for people too
You have a solid list of names here. Your names generally have gentle, pleasantly flowing sounds, and are quite handsome. They are thoroughly masculine, but also warm and inviting. Pretty much any of the would make a nice brother to [name_m]Harvey[/name_m]. Some of them (mostly [name_m]Lysander[/name_m]) wouldn’t be super cohesive as a sibset, but mainly they are fine.

[name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] and [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] also tand out as combos that flow well.

Milo - I like this name a lot! It’s easy to spell and easy to say. It doesn’t feel trendy like [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] does.
Otto - We’ve had this name on our list for a while! I like the spelling with two O and two T. It’s very visually pleasing. It would work well for any age too.
Owen - Nice name! I associate this one with [name_u]Grey[/name_u]’s Anatomy which is why I wouldn’t use it myself. But I think it’s a nice name.
Wyatt - I like this one too! It sounds nice and it easy to say. Again, it works for any age.

with harvey, however, i feel wyatt, gabriel and owen are too popular, perhaps a bit too clashy. not that there’s a rule siblings should match, but a big difference in name popularity can hurt.
but i mean, i don’t actually know how popular harvey is in your area, so i could be totally wrong about this.

and if you’re not into elliot or elias, just eli absolutely works too! and there are plenty of other eli names if you prefer it as a nickname as well.
