I’m due in a few weeks and having a very hard time coming up with a middle name for [name]Lily[/name], if we have a girl. I was leaning towards [name]Lily[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] or [name]Lily[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], but I don’t think I love them. The thing is, I like to be traditional and would love to use a mother or grandmother’s name as the middle name but none of the names work in my family, which sucks!
I like more strong traditional middle names, as opposed to more fairytale lighter names like [name]Lily[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] or [name]Lily[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] or [name]Lily[/name] [name]Annabelle[/name], etc. Since [name]Lily[/name] is softer I want a stronger middle name.
Our last name is short, so I don’t think a short middle name would work, like “[name]Lily[/name] [name]Grace[/name] [name]Cruise[/name]”, it may sound choppy? Although I love the name [name]Grace[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you think [name]Grace[/name] would work with “[name]Cruise[/name]” last name? Or what about my name “[name]Lily[/name] [name]Karen[/name] [name]Cruise[/name]” as the middle name?
[name]Lily[/name] [name]Grace[/name] [name]Cruise[/name] works for me! With the right names, the short syllables-staccato thing actually works well, I think.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Lily[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]! [name]Lily[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is adorable, too, but a very predictable combo (and a bit hissy with [name]Cruise[/name]). [name]Lily[/name] [name]Karen[/name] works, but I am not sure about [name]Karen[/name] [name]Cruise[/name], again. What about something like [name]Lily[/name] [name]Karine[/name] [name]Cruise[/name]/[name]Lily[/name] [name]Carina[/name] [name]Cruise[/name]? Or [name]Lily[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]? [name]Lily[/name] [name]Natalia[/name]? [name]Lily[/name] [name]Juliette[/name]? [name]Lily[/name] [name]Georgina[/name]? [name]Lily[/name] [name]Harriet[/name]? [name]Lily[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]? [name]Lily[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]?
I love the name [name]Lily[/name]. I think [name]Lily[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is quite beautiful. [name]Lily[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] is a bit bland, to be honest, and while I adore the name [name]Scarlett[/name], I do not think it fits well with [name]Lily[/name].
So…I thought for some time and came up with these suggestions:
You could also consider modifying [name]Karen[/name] to [name]Kathryn[/name] for the middle name. [name]Kathryn[/name] is closer in appearance to [name]Karen[/name] than [name]Katherine[/name] is, though [name]Kathryn[/name] and [name]Karen[/name] are still both variations of the original [name]Katherine[/name]. I think Kathryn matches Lily better than Karen does, especially with a short last name like Cruise.
Also, [name]Kathryn[/name] is somewhat more unique. I like the look of [name]Lily[/name] [name]Kathryn[/name]!
I think both [name]Lily[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Lily[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] are great. [name]Lily[/name] [name]Amandine[/name]? [name]Lily[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]? [name]Lily[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name]? [name]Lily[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]? [name]Lily[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]?
[name]Ann[/name] . I love lily ann. Neat simple no extra letters. And L.A. (last name) is a great signature. If I had a daughter I would have named her lily [name]Ann[/name]… my middle name is [name]Ann[/name] and my first name starts with a L I love my L.A. signature. I’m 41 no complaints. Good luck God bless u both
I love [name_f]Lily[/name_f] Josphine.
Or what about:
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] (although I think [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] means [name_f]Lily[/name_f] so maybe weird)
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
