Please help....too late to change our baby's middle name?

[name]Hi[/name],

I really need some help berries. Our son was born almost 2 weeks ago and about a week ago we named him [name]Caspian[/name] (which we love), we really couldn’t decide on a middle name and after posting on here and discussing it over and over again, we decided on the middle name of [name]Henry[/name]. Our other choices were [name]Remy[/name] and [name]Yann[/name].

I now keep thinking I wish I had of picked [name]Remy[/name] as the middle name! My husband however thinks [name]Henry[/name] is the right choice but I am not sure and now I don’t know what to do! I have only applied for his health card, I haven’t applied for a birth certificate or anything else so I am assuming I could change it to [name]Remy[/name] if I wanted to.

I am therefore wondering what you all think…whether you think I should change his middle name to [name]Remy[/name] or keep [name]Henry[/name]? I do like the name [name]Henry[/name] but just think I prefer [name]Remy[/name]! I am so confused and could really do with some help!

Any advice would be really appreciated. I keep putting off applying for his birth certificate etc because I am so unsure his middle name!

First of all, I adore [name]Caspian[/name]. [name]Remy[/name] is another personal favorite of mine. Though [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Henry[/name] sounds nice, if you really like [name]Remy[/name] and he is only a few weeks old, then I would change it to what you love. I hope that helps.

I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Henry[/name] so [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Henry[/name] sounds very good to me. But if you really like the name [name]Remy[/name] and your husband doesn’t mind, go for it. also, my friends name is [name]Lilia[/name] [name]Danielle[/name] legally, but her mom never liked the name [name]Danielle[/name]. so although legally she is [name]Lilia[/name] [name]Danielle[/name], they all call her [name]Lilia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]

I adore [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Henry[/name]! What a handsome name for your little boy. Is there anything about [name]Henry[/name] you don’t like, other than that you just like [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Remy[/name] more? [name]Both[/name] are lovely but I like [name]Henry[/name] because it seems to ground the more whimsical (imo, anyway) [name]Caspian[/name] a bit. [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Remy[/name] has a more fantasy-feel to it, if that makes any sense. I really don’t know all that much about the name-changing process, but if you haven’t signed his birth certificate I would think you could still change it, definitely! If your husband agrees to [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Remy[/name], I would go for it.

Good luck!

Does your husband object to changing the name, or does he just prefer [name]Henry[/name]/ thinks it feels right?
He’s the one you have to compromise with, so I’d take his opinion in to account first.

Personally, I like [name]Henry[/name], and [name]Remy[/name] doesn’t hold up for me.
If your husband agrees to change the name, though, then I don’t see the harm in doing it.

I love [name]Caspian[/name]! I prefer [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Henry[/name], the combo is great. [name]Don[/name]'t really care for [name]Remy[/name], but if you love it and your husband doesn’t mind, I think it’s not too late to change it. Another possibility would be saving [name]Remy[/name] for a future son.

I prefer [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Henry[/name], but it’s certainly not too late to change if you want to. [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Remy[/name] or [name]Remy[/name] [name]Henry[/name] could work for you as well if you don’t mind double middles. That way your husband can keep [name]Henry[/name] and you still get [name]Remy[/name] in there.

I prefer [name]Remy[/name] to [name]Henry[/name] but [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Henry[/name] is a lovely combo. I can see the over the top name of [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Rembrandt[/name] nn [name]Remy[/name] but I guess that is just pie in the sky?

Thanks for all your opinions and advice. I do like [name]Henry[/name] as a name but just prefer [name]Remy[/name]! My husband does not want the name changed but I think I could talk him into it if I really wanted to! [name]Just[/name] not sure still what to do! I need to get it sorted though.

I don’t mind double middle names but don’t think [name]Henry[/name] [name]Remy[/name] or [name]Remy[/name] [name]Henry[/name] sound right together.

I can’t save [name]Remy[/name] for a future son…this is baby no.4 and so there will be no more…our little man was a big surprise, we have 3 girls!!

It seems that most of you think [name]Henry[/name] sounds better though with [name]Caspian[/name], maybe I should just stick with [name]Henry[/name]! Still so confused!!!

Hopefully I can get it sorted out soon.

If anyone has anymore thoughts / advice please let me know!! Thanks again!

I like the flow of [name]Caspian[/name] [name]Henry[/name] a lot! The short “e” and “n” sounds at the end of [name]Caspian[/name] subtly ties it to the similar sounds in the first syllable of [name]Henry[/name]. I wouldn’t change it!
