[name]Hi[/name],
We are trying to pick a first name for our future little man. Three months to go. We like more traditional names and this is what we have so far.
If you could please vote for your top names in this list (at least 5 please) and put them in order from favorite to least favorite, we would appreciate it.
If a name has multiple nicknames, please indicate if you prefer one nickname over another, and make any comments you wish or suggest any names in addition to your picks. Thanks!
I love the name [name]William[/name], its on my list as well. I prefer the nn [name]Will[/name] over [name]Bill[/name], but I like [name]Liam[/name] as well.
Im very partial to [name]Brad[/name], although I prefer [name]Bradley[/name]. I like [name]Brad[/name] as a nn.
[name]Jack[/name] is a very strong, classic name. I love it.
[name]John[/name] is my grandfathers name, and [name]Ive[/name] always had a soft spot for it
[name]James[/name] is very classic, you cant
really go wrong with it. I dont like the nn [name]Jim[/name]. I think [name]Jamie[/name] is cute.
[name]Jack[/name] – I like the bit of a cavalier air that this name has. It’s a sharp, classic name that’s perfectly respectable on paper, but it’s a bit rascally, too. [name]Favorite[/name].
[name]James[/name] – Basically a perfect name. It’s perfect, what more can I say?
[name]George[/name] – In spite of the slew of [name]Georges[/name] sure to pop up in the UK, I think this is a great choice. In [name]America[/name] I don’t meet too many [name]Georges[/name], and it’s a lovely name. Classic and solid. Not too over the top, a nice sound. Great name.
[name]David[/name] – A very classic, standard name, but it’s got a bit more a pleasant sound than a name like [name]Michael[/name]. Thus my preference.
[name]John[/name] – The classic. Overused, maybe a little boring, but it’s popular for a reason. Can’t go wrong.
[name]Timothy[/name] - This is my favourite by far! It’s classic but very underused and would be really refreshing but familiar
[name]Thomas[/name] ([name]Tom[/name])
[name]Nicholas[/name] ([name]Nick[/name])
[name]William[/name] ([name]Will[/name] or [name]Bill[/name])
[name]Jack[/name]
[name]John[/name] – so simple and elegant
[name]George[/name]
[name]Joseph[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name]
[name]William[/name] – I prefer [name]Will[/name] to [name]Bill[/name].
[name]David[/name] Please don’t spoil this name by giving him the nn of [name]Dave[/name]/[name]Davey[/name] etc
[name]Nicholas[/name] Prefer the full name but [name]Nick[/name] is still very nice
[name]James[/name] [name]One[/name] of my all time favourite names
[name]Thomas[/name] Handsome
[name]William[/name] Always likeable
[name]Jonathan[/name] A lovely name and the versatility of nicknames are good too eg [name]Nathan[/name], [name]Nat[/name], [name]Jon[/name], [name]Jonny[/name], [name]Nate[/name]
[name]James[/name] nn [name]Jamie[/name]
[name]Nicholas[/name] nn [name]Cole[/name]
[name]William[/name] nn [name]Liam[/name]
[name]Jack[/name]
[name]Joseph[/name] nn [name]Joey[/name]
I’d stay away from [name]George[/name] now that the [name]Prince[/name] has been given that moniker, unless you want to be one of the wave of [name]George[/name]'s that are about to hit.
1.[name]Thomas[/name] nn [name]Tommy[/name]
2.[name]George[/name]
3.[name]Nicholas[/name]
4.[name]Jack[/name]
4.[name]William[/name] nn [name]Liam[/name]
1.[name]Jack[/name]
2. [name]James[/name] (however I do not like the nn [name]Jim[/name], I prefer just [name]James[/name])
3. [name]William[/name] (nn [name]Will[/name])
4. [name]Joseph[/name]
5. My own suggestion…[name]Harry[/name]
[name]James[/name] (This name is so short I don’t think it needs a nickname)
[name]Joseph[/name]
[name]Nicholas[/name]
[name]David[/name]
[name]Michael[/name]
