My husband and I having baby in [name]April[/name]. We are not finding out the sex. For boy names, we currently both like [name]Zeke[/name] or [name]Leland[/name], but are afraid they are just to far out there. [name]Do[/name] you have any suggestions we should consider? Any advice of why to avoid [name]Zeke[/name] or [name]Leland[/name]. Your thoughts on the names? Any response would be appreciated. FYI. we have a long Italian last name. Thanks!
I donāt think [name]Zeke[/name] is too out there at all. I really like it
[name]Leland[/name] really doesnāt seem that strange to me. Maybe because Iāve known a [name]Leland[/name] and he was a really decent stand up guy. (I had a pet named [name]Zeke[/name] once so itās permanently stuck as a āpet nameā for me nowā¦ an issue Iām sure most other people wonāt have with it.)
thanks for writing its very helpful.
Certainly neither of these are too āout thereā for discussion on here. Although Iāve never seen [name]Leland[/name] mentioned, it goes along with the old man names returning to use trend, and I think itās a great name. Much better than some of the other ones out there in my opinion. And the nn [name]Lee[/name] is really cute! I think maybe there was a [name]Leland[/name] on a tv show I watched once, but itās a very faint memory. Itās a perfect name because itās familiar, easy to pronounce, and solid and handsome and yet very uncommon. Nice find!
[name]Zeke[/name] has been discussed on here a fair bit. Of course, that doesnāt mean people actually use it, so itās tough to tell. But I prefer/love this name as a nn for [name]Ezekiel[/name] or something like that. It could even work as a nn for [name]Zachary[/name], but Iām guessing thatās too common for your style.
What about [name]Zane[/name] or [name]Lachlan[/name]? [name]Both[/name] feel like a sort of halfway point between [name]Zeke[/name] and [name]Leland[/name].
I donāt dislike [name]Zeke[/name] or [name]Leland[/name], though I have to say that I prefer [name]Zeke[/name], though as others have said it does have a bit more of a nn feel.
[name]Leland[/name] just feels a bit old fashioned. The only one Iāve ever met is in his 60ās and a bit odd, so that might color my impressions.
thanks. great response ā¦if you every post a thread I promise to comment.
[name]Leland[/name] sounds very mature and dignified, but I have met an adorable little [name]Leland[/name] years ago. I would prefer [name]Ezekiel[/name] with [name]Zeke[/name] as a nickname. Other thoughts, [name]Landon[/name], [name]Layton[/name], [name]Zebulon[/name], [name]Elias[/name].
