Please help! Which do you prefer?

I need to make a decision ASAP. My husband and child like [name_f]Aria[/name_f] but I’ve always been more of a fan of the other three names. I like [name_f]Aria[/name_f] too but is it tacky right now due to Game of Thrones? I feel so stuck.
Which do you prefer? If it helps we are WASPs lwith a long last name ending in -ski. Thanks in advance

[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Athena[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

I totally agree about [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. It’s so trendy because of a TV show, & that’s just…well, yes, ‘tacky’ in my opinion. The other three choices are lovely. [name_f]Athena[/name_f] is not my personal favorite, but it’s the most unique. And it’s a strong, solid classic name. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is sweet, but quite common as is [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. If popularity doesn’t bother you, I choose [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. It’s popular like [name_f]Aria[/name_f], but an old fashioned name that has a beautiful association w/the flower.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] would gmv. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] would be my second choice

[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] could be a combo of [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f]? [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] feels like [name_f]Athena[/name_f] and is kind of like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] too?

I also like [name_f]Lily[/name_f], followed by [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]!

I think if you do [name_f]Aria[/name_f] your girl is going to have the problem where when she gets to school, there’s like five kids in her class with the same or a similar name. I really like the suggestion [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], and I also really like any of the others from your list!

Personally [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is so overdone now. It’ll be forever associated with Game of Thrones too. I really love the name [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is sweet and timeless. I also like the suggestion of [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] as a kinda of combo of the names.

I adore [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. My second choice would be [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], although I slightly prefer [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabel[/name_f].

I would assume you were GOT fans if she was called [name_f]Aria[/name_f]
I really like the compromise suggestions of [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. I don’t connect it with GoT, because that character is [name_u]Arya[/name_u] (with two syllables); instead it reminds me of opera. I don’t think it’s insanely popular, but [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lily[/name_f] are pretty popular. I like all of them, though. [name_f]Athena[/name_f] is awesome.

I’m not a particular fan of [name_f]Aria[/name_f], and I do feel that names like this - with similar sounds - are a bit overdone (eg add in [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], Arlia/[name_f]Aliyah[/name_f], [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] etc). That being said both [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] are very popular too right now.

My favourite is [name_f]Lily[/name_f], and though I don’t love [name_f]Athena[/name_f] I think it’s interesting and I like that it’s more unusual.

Since you’re WASP’s [name_f]Ariella[/name_f] or [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] probably works better. Possibly [name_f]Larissa[/name_f] as well.

Unpopular opinion here, but I don’t think [name_f]Aria[/name_f] would be forever associated with GoT. It’s not [name_f]Daenerys[/name_f], or even [name_f]Sansa[/name_f]. [name_f]Aria[/name_f]/[name_u]Arya[/name_u] is more familiar. So if you like it too and that’s your husband’s top pick, I guess why not just use it, at least as part of her name if not the first name.

I do love the suggestion of [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] though, as well as your three options. You can’t really go wrong with either of them.

There is no character in GoT named [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. There is an [name_u]Arya[/name_u], but if you spelled it the traditional way, I would not assume there was any association. It’s a beautiful, musical name in its own right. I strongly disagree with other posters that the name is tacky or overdone. It’s popular, yes, but so are [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. I say use [name_f]Aria[/name_f] if it has the strongest consensus between you and your husband.

My second favorite on your list is [name_f]Lily[/name_f].

[name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] feel overused at this point. And [name_f]Aria[/name_f] will make a lot of people think of Game of Thrones. I don’t watch it, and even I would think of it.
I love [name_f]Athena[/name_f] and the suggestion of [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]! There’s also the similar [name_f]Mira[/name_f]. Or [name_f]Arielle[/name_f]? [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]?

I’m learning more and more to go with what you like and fuck what other people think so if you like [name_f]Aria[/name_f], go with that. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is cute!

I think [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is trendy but not tacky. I associate it with Pretty [name_m]Little[/name_m] Liars rather than GoT since that’s where I heard it first and in GoT, it’s [name_u]Arya[/name_u] with 2 syllables (well I’ve never watched but I read the author’s intended pronunciation, so apologies if I’m wrong). It’s really popular right now, but beautiful.

[name_f]Athena[/name_f] is gorgeous, but for some reason it feels old to me? Which is weird because it’s not a dated name and the only [name_f]Athena[/name_f] I know is younger than me. But personally, it’s not a favorite.

I think both [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lily[/name_f] might be overdone and maybe getting past their peak, though [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is more classic (and so beautiful!) so my vote goes to [name_f]Lily[/name_f].
