My husband and I like one syllable names that aren’t in danger of becoming too popular. Here is what we’ve come up with and why we are second guessing all of them…
[name_u]Cass[/name_u]- Could this lean more toward the feminine side?
[name_u]Beau[/name_u]- I think this name has always been on a “commonly used” list.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] this, but it’s pretty popular on the charts and we’re not sure if it’s supposed to become even more common.
What do you think of these? Any other suggestions?
I love [name_u]Cass[/name_u] (or [name_m]Cas[/name_m]) but I’d suggest you use it as a nn for something like [name_m]Caspar[/name_m], [name_u]Chase[/name_u], [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], or [name_m]Cassius[/name_m].
[name_u]Beau[/name_u] is a cool name, but it may be popular where you live. It isn’t where I’m from, but it seems pretty common in the southern US.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] is a nice, simple name. While it does seem popular now, it’s been a known name for a while so it could work.
From your names, I like [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] nn [name_m]Cas[/name_m], or [name_u]Beau[/name_u] [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u].
Other names I’d suggest-
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_u]Gus[/name_u] - [name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Eli[/name_m]
[name_u]Dean[/name_u]
[name_m]Axel[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]/[name_u]Theo[/name_u] - probably too popular for you
[name_u]Cade[/name_u]
[name_u]Tate[/name_u]
[name_u]Lane[/name_u]
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u]/[name_u]Reese[/name_u]/[name_u]Reece[/name_u]
[name_u]Beck[/name_u]
I like [name_u]Jude[/name_u] the best, then [name_u]Cass[/name_u] and trailing far behind is [name_u]Beau[/name_u]. I don’t really understand what people like so much about [name_u]Beau[/name_u], the spelling is really lovely to look at but then you’re left with a kid named ‘[name_u]Bo[/name_u]’. I’ll get off my soap box… One name you might like is [name_u]Kai[/name_u], its #145 of the top 1000 names in the US of 2015, so it’s not hugely popular but also not unheard of. Another one is [name_u]Reid[/name_u]; it was in the 2 or 300’s for boys depending on if you spell it ‘[name_u]Reid[/name_u]’ or ‘[name_u]Reed[/name_u]’. Here are some other suggestions:
I really like [name_u]Beau[/name_u] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. [name_u]Cass[/name_u] to me sounds like a NN only. [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is probably my favourite.
