Hello. I have posted previously but it seems to have disappeared (?)
I have a son [name_m]Innes[/name_m] and a daughter [name_f]Oona[/name_f]. We are due another daughter in a couple of weeks and I just cannot find a name that I love as much as these, and that goes with them. We are Scottish and I like slightly more unusual names (typically)
Any help would be very gratefully appreciated. I like [name_f]Evie[/name_f] so far and my OH likes [name_f]Eilidh[/name_f] (Scots name pronounced Ayley) I think the latter could be annoying for our daughter having to explain to non Scots.
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] is delightful, but I would prefer something like [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Eva[/name_f] as the first name. I love the name [name_f]Oona[/name_f], it’s a new discovery for me, so great job for choosing this precious gem of a name on your little girl. The name that first occured to me judging by your sibset, was the Welsh name [name_u]Seren[/name_u]. I also recommend [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] and [name_f]Annika[/name_f].
[name_f]Evie[/name_f] is lovely but I agree with @lailanotlilah that it doesn’t quite fit your sibset. I adore the suggestion of [name_u]Seren[/name_u]! It fits in with your other Scottish names but is still easy to pronounce for those not from the area. You could also try:
[name_u]Adair[/name_u]
[name_f]Anwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethan[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Effie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elin[/name_f]
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_m]Kerrigan[/name_m]
[name_f]Lilias[/name_f]
[name_f]Moira[/name_f]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_f]Kenna[/name_f]
Yes [name_f]Oona[/name_f] and [name_f]Iona[/name_f] are very close. It’s amazing the number of names that you guys have mentioned that are already in my family!! Including [name_f]Moira[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Enya[/name_f].
