Hey, everyone! I am writing a book and although the book is already written, I would love to change some of the names so please give suggestions.
[name_u]Story[/name_u] background: It is basically a comedy/drama about a family who’s desperately trying to piece itself back together and make things work. And I know the descriptions below are super lame and complicated so I apologize for that.
([name_m]Person[/name_m] #1) She is the main character and narrator. She is very smart and rather unpopular at school. She is very open and loves her family. Physically she is very fit (big time runner) with dark hair and striking blue eyes. Her major flaw is that she is mentally insane as a result of her awful past and childhood. She also really likes [name_f]Indie[/name_f] music and has a decent sense of humor. I am pretty much thinking that [name_u]Abby[/name_u] will be the name for her, but am still open to suggestions also I would love to see some last names 
([name_m]Person[/name_m] #2) He is the popular jock on the surface, but as we look deeper, we see that he is funny and caring but has a bit of a temper. Sadly he is not very smart or open to new things. He constantly tries to hide his feelings and is embarrassed to show any emotion. He has a stocky build, dark hair, and greyish green eyes. Because he is actually based on my brother [name_u]Sam[/name_u], that is his name for the moment.
([name_m]Person[/name_m] #3) He is very lost and quiet. He is kinda indifferent, but is very willing to listen to others and constantly remains neutral on controversial issues. He is very unpopular and does not put himself out there. He is very unhappy going to privet school. His only friend is his sister and brother (characters 1 and 2). He has light hair and skin with the same bright blue eyes as his sister and is very thin. I’m thinking [name_m]John[/name_m].
([name_m]Person[/name_m] #4) [name_m]Person[/name_m] number 4 has the reputation for being absolutely beautiful. She is 29 years old. She has green eyes and nice red hair. She is a lawyer and also is working part time at a tanning salon (so she is also tan) to pick up some extra pay. She is very caring, but rarely shows it and often comes across as selfish and egotistical. She is the oldest of the children and was born when her parents were only 15 years old. She has been taking care of her other siblings without any help until there is an unexpected event, leading her to give up custody of her siblings to her father who had abandoned them all many years before the start of the story.I’m thinking [name_f]Jen[/name_f].
([name_m]Person[/name_m] #5) This person is the father of all of the previous people. Like his children, he is extremely attractive and has blue eyes, light brown hair, tan skin, nice teeth, but a large nose. He has really struggled to get where he is (a high income plastic surgeon). He has also had a difficult past, which he doesn’t share until later in the book. He has many regrets and feels like he is the root of all the family problems. He has this very odd relationship with character #1. He is kinda this interesting guy who works very hard but rare gets appreciated. Right now I am leaning towards [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] or [name_u]Avery[/name_u] so names like that (this is the character I am struggling the most with)

#1 – Short, uncommon but not weird names for her. Names without a good or bad conotation (for me) to fit her inconsistent personality. [name_m]Both[/name_m] romance and sharpness.

1: [name_f]Maya[/name_f] immediately popped into my head. I don’t know…she just feels exactly like a [name_f]Maya[/name_f] to me. [name_u]Abby[/name_u] is a little tame, but could work as a nickname for [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] or something (though I’d prefer nn [name_f]Gail[/name_f] for [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]).
2: [name_u]Sam[/name_u] works, I like [name_u]Sam[/name_u]. But you might not want to use it if it’s your brother’s name. [name_m]Marcus[/name_m] nn [name_m]Mark[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_u]Dean[/name_u], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] nn [name_m]Ben[/name_m], or [name_m]Henry[/name_m] could also work.
3: A more classic name could work really well, but I’ve always thought [name_m]John[/name_m] is a little too plain. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], [name_m]Eli[/name_m], [name_m]Zachary[/name_m], [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], or [name_u]Noah[/name_u]?
4: Hmm…[name_f]Jetta[/name_f], [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_f]Sadey[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Kat[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_f]Mariel[/name_f] nn [name_f]Mari[/name_f] or [name_f]Ella[/name_f].
1- I really like Celianne’s suggestion of [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Lorelai[/name_f], although it doesn’t fit quite as well. [name_u]Clare[/name_u]?
2- I also like the suggestion of [name_m]Duncan[/name_m]. Celianne’s got these all figured out! [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] or [name_u]Camden[/name_u] would work as well, in my opinion.
3- [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], [name_u]Mason[/name_u]. Those are the names that came to mind. And [name_m]Michael[/name_m], but I think Celianne said that already.
4- I love [name_f]Jen[/name_f], and I think it’s perfect. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t change it.
5- [name_u]Avery[/name_u] is fine, I don’t have any super brilliant ideas for this one.
