Im not finding out the gender of my baby until he/she is born so were trying no narrow the name list down to 2 boy 2 girl names.
What are your thoughts on these combos?
Beckett [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] - [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is overused imo & [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] just sounds like “peck it”.
Either [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] — I don’t like [name_u]James[/name_u] on a girl. [name_f]Jane[/name_f]? And [name_u]Remy[/name_u] imho is too nickname-y, so maybe [name_u]Remington[/name_u] “[name_u]Remy[/name_u]”? The masculine fn & feminine middle name go really well together & definitely balance each other out. <3
Dashell [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] – Dashell [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] is very cool and handsome! It’s nicely modern and grounded.
Malcolm [name_m]Nickolas[/name_m] – This isn’t my preferred spelling of [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], but it’s a great combo! Very classic and cool.
Beckett [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] – Handsome and traditional. I don’t find it as exciting as the others, as both names are more popular, but it’s a very strong and good name nonetheless.
Remy [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] – This is so sweet! The timeless, classic [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] works perfectly with the fun, unisex [name_u]Remy[/name_u].
Ellery [name_f]Kate[/name_f] – [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] isn’t for me, but [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is so sweet! I love the blend of modern and classic, it feels perfectly balanced for a current child.
Nora [name_u]James[/name_u] – I like this! The flow is perfect, and the vintage [name_f]Nora[/name_f] works so well with the modern, masculine [name_u]James[/name_u]. I do prefer [name_u]James[/name_u] on a boy but I see the appeal for a girl, it sounds so sleek and cool!
Dashell [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] - prefer it with the I ([name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], which I believe is traditional), but this is nice. I think I weirdly like [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_u]Camden[/name_u] more, visually, even though I prefer [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] more in general. They work well together and I love seeing [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]/Dashell on others’ lists… I can’t see me using it myself, but it’s one of those I love seeing others use!
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] [name_m]Nickolas[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] more, but this is still handsome! I would love to see more Malcolms out there.
[name_u]Beckett[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] - feels pretty standard, but still very handsome! I like it but prefer [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] and [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] more, I think.
Remy [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - I like [name_u]Romy[/name_u] more, personally, but [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is nice. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] looks lovely with it but I got caught up trying to pronounce me-ah-mee in the middle. I think the others flow a bit better but this one seems the most interesting and fresh to me?
[name_u]Ellery[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] - very sweet! I like it a lot.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] - I like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] okay, but LOVE [name_f]Norah[/name_f]. I’m not too keen on [name_u]James[/name_u] for a girl (I know a lot of others are, though), but [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] flows really well.
If I had to pick two for each gender, they’d be [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m], [name_u]Remy[/name_u], and [name_u]Ellery[/name_u].
My favourites from your list:
Dashell Cameron - handsome, flows well
Nora James - lovely with a spunk
I like Ellery Kate, modern and balanced. Remy and Amelia are nice names, but when I say them together “my” runs into “Am”.
Not a fan of how Beckett sounds, but nothing wrong with it, I do like Alexander.
Malcolm Nickolas is a fine combo, my second favourite from your boys combos.
Nice lists! I would choose Dashell [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] in a heartbeat if it were spelled [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m], but even without the i, I love the sound of it. [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] would be my second choice—it’s handsome and sharp, and I like the literary connection with [name_u]Beckett[/name_u]. Not a big fan of [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m], though it’s a perfectly fine name. Primarily reminds me of [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] in the Middle.
For girls, considering first names only, my favorite is [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but for combos, I love [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] is not usually my style on a girl, but this combo is so sweet and sophisticated! So I’d go with [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u].
Dashell [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] ~ I think [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] is better then Dashell this name looks incomplete without the ‘I’ I really like the name [name_u]Cameron[/name_u]. It was [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] I would love it.
Malcolm [name_m]Nickolas[/name_m] ~ very understated [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] is a lovely soft classic and I like the nickname [name_u]Mal[/name_u]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_m]Nickolas[/name_m] isn’t a favourite I do like the name teamed with [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m]
Beckett [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] ~ my favourite! [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] is a lovely handsome name really strong and feels very vogue. I’m a massive fan of [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] and teamed with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] I absolutely love [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is gorgeous
So clearly my favourite is [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] followed up by [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] [name_m]Nickolas[/name_m].
Remy [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] ~ Personally I prefer [name_u]Romy[/name_u] still I think [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is nice. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] sounds pretty with [name_u]Remy[/name_u].
Ellery [name_f]Kate[/name_f] ~ [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] is growing on me so much of recent. [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] is upbeat and pretty I love the subtle nature vibe [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] offers through the meaning ‘island of elder trees’ I think she’s a great choice! I also love how [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] sounds with [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. This is a lovely name
Nora [name_u]James[/name_u] ~ I prefer [name_f]Cora[/name_f] but still can definitely see the appeal of [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] is a good choice but not my favourite.
My favourite is [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] followed by [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].
Dashell [name_u]Cameron[/name_u]-Usually I’m not into [name_u]Cameron[/name_u]. I find it a bit trendy & unisex. However, this is a great combo. The handsome dapper (dare I say, dashing!) Dashell totally works w/Cameron. I do prefer the spelling [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] though.
Malcolm [name_m]Nickolas[/name_m]-[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] is really nice. It’s smart & quiet but bold at the same time. Well known yet underused. I love [name_m]Nicolas[/name_m] spelled this way, & this is a lovely combo. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not sure about that ‘k’.
Beckett [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]-I like [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] more in theory than I do actually saying it. But this is a really nice combo. And I love the nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u].
Girls:
Remy [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]-I adore the [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] part. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is very boyish, in my opinion.
Ellery [name_f]Kate[/name_f]-Pretty cute combo. I just don’t think that I care for [name_u]Ellery[/name_u]. It seems very modern. I do like most other ‘[name_f]Elle[/name_f]’ names. [name_m]Just[/name_m] prefer more classic names myself.
Nora [name_u]James[/name_u]-I definitely don’t care for [name_u]James[/name_u] on a girl, but [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is simple, smart, classic & just lovely.
Dashell [name_u]Cameron[/name_u] and [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] are my favorite from your boy names, and [name_u]Ellery[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] are my favorite from your girl names
Nora (prefer with an ‘H’) - what about [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] (prefer middle to be spelled [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m])
