Loredana- romanian and sounds like lor-uh-donna
Tinsel
Tinuviel
Esmeray-I’m told it is turkish! [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Esme[/name_f] for NN
Mädchen- sounds like maid-chen. german word meaning maiden
Avian-i think it should be a name
Maitreyi- indian name pronounced may-tree or may-tray-ee
Melodicnostagia, [name_u]Love[/name_u] your use of [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. Minnow is actually one of my daughter’s nicknames for [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]. I just like how it sounds even though it’s a tiny fishy.
I’ll come back to list my favourites of these later but one name is very unusable to me:
Mädchen - not only does it contain an umlaut that many people can’t pronounce and the ch which usually turn into a k for English people but the word simply means “girl” (as in that’s the word we use for “girl”).
Your kid could never travel a [name_m]German[/name_m] speaking country with this name and in a combo it would be like naming her “[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] Girl” etc.
I love so many on your list but not this one!
Names I’ve never heard before/paid attention to that I like:
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliora[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleri[/name_f]
[name_f]Ceres[/name_f]
[name_f]Mazarine[/name_f]

Firstly, I like many of your names and find that we have similar taste in regards to girl names. I like a little bit of everything, and have many of these on various lists. I was happy to see [name_f]Candace[/name_f], [name_f]Alethea[/name_f], [name_f]Eliora[/name_f], [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f], [name_f]Coralie[/name_f], and [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f].
Least [name_m]Favorite[/name_m]: [name_f]Lilou[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u], [name_u]Blaze[/name_u], [name_f]Hermione[/name_f], [name_f]Azenor[/name_f], [name_f]Lourdes[/name_f], [name_f]Mazarine[/name_f], and Minnow. Some are too harsh in my opinion, others I have never liked the sound or look of.

Well, many of my favorite names aren’t usable. I got Mädchen from Twin Peaks, a favorite of mine. Mädchen Amick was a stunningly gorgeous character and the name itself is quite lovely and feminine [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. She was [name_m]French[/name_m] Canadian. No clue why she was named that, but there are worse things to be named after.
opheliaflora: Like how your lists are not so easy to find a pattern to: I think this indicates you know what you like and aren’t swayed by the “style” nor prejudices of others for certain names. in other words your naming ideology is romantic but rooted in pragmatism.
Mädchen
Minnow
Tinsel
[name_m]Celadon[/name_m]
[name_u]Cheyenne[/name_u]
Avian (although [name_f]Aviana[/name_f] is gorgeous and is an actual name)
[name_f]Elisen[/name_f]
[name_f]Elladine[/name_f]
[name_u]Blaze[/name_u] (not on a girl; on a boy, I like it fine)
Maitreyi
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] was on my short list when I was pregnant. Isn’t is gorge? But, I wanted something a little unusual and DH wouldn’t go for [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], what a divine flower! Can’t think of a language in which it would sound bad, either. Well, maybe Janapese LOL
Found another website not to be named with this info on the name Loredana:
Meanings and history of the name Loredana: | [name_f]Edit[/name_f]
Loredana is a name used in Italian and Romanian. Some sources say it was created by the [name_m]French[/name_m] author [name_m]George[/name_m] Sand for a character in her novel ‘[name_f]Mattea[/name_f]’ (1833) and later used by the Italian author [name_m]Luciano[/name_m] Zuccoli in his novel ‘L’amore de Loredana’ (1908). It was possibly based on the Venetian surname Loredan, which was derived from the place name Loreo. It may also be a form of the name Lauretana, title of the [name_f]Madonna[/name_f] di Loreto, which had its origin in the Latin Lauretum, meaning “small woods of laurel.”
So, like, it’s legit, yáll, not just a snmoosh (tho I love smooshes). Super common name in Romania.
