These are names I’ve been looking at for awhile. For my really good baby namers out there, can you review the list and tell me if you see trends or names that will fit in? My husband and I like these names but I’m not in love with any right now.
I see a number of biblical names—but not the typical ones that show up super high on the charts—mixed with other old-origin names with sacred meanings or connections. A lot of names have the emphasis on the first syllable, and all end with a soft consonant sound (as opposed to a hard consonant like a C or T, or a vowel). Most of the names also feel at least mildly trendy or resurgent, despite not topping the popularity charts. And all are traditionally masculine, not unisex. [name_m]Even[/name_m] the names in your signature that aren’t on this list pretty much fit the pattern, with the exception of [name_m]Levi[/name_m] (though it is a biblical name).
Other names that seem to fit some or all of these criteria:
I really appreciate your fondness for old world names (my son’s name is [name_m]Archimedes[/name_m]) and for lesser used biblicsl names. I absolutely love [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]!!!
