Please suggest names for our baby

DH and I are still trying to agree on a name for our baby girl due very shortly.

Some names he likes:

[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]

Some names I like:

[name]Daisy[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] ([name]Sunny[/name])

Names we agree on but can’t seem to just pick one and commit to it:

[name]Zoe[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Vivian[/name]

[name]Do[/name] any other names come to mind when you read our lists? We both usually tend to like historical or literary names with some gravity yet spunk to them. DH said no to all names on my list and the only one on his I would seriously consider is [name]Ingrid[/name] (I love [name]Daphne[/name] but don’t like the myth associated with it). All suggestions welcome!

Of your list, I think the happy medium is definitely [name]Vivian[/name]. He favors very serious names, whereas yours are sunnier. [name]Vivian[/name] is a serious name but the meaning (“lively”) is up your alley. And for moxy you can’t beat the nickname [name]Viv[/name].

blade - we both love [name]Fiona[/name], but when combined with our last name it is a fairly well known public person. Fi is such a great nn!

emelis - [name]Maisie[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Honora[/name] are all on my list but not DH’s. We both like [name]Iris[/name], but I am concerned it is too serious for a little girl and there is no nn to fall back on?

From our list, I agree [name]Vivian[/name] and [name]Daphne[/name] combine our taste the best. Thanks again!

[name]Ingrid[/name] is lovely! I vote for that one! Mixing and matching, I think [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Ingrid[/name] would be a lovely combo, if you could get your DH to like [name]Susannah[/name].

[name]How[/name] about [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Ingrid[/name] or [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]?
