Please tell me why I should go for Wilder

I have absolutely no hesitation to use [name_u]Everett[/name_u] but I do have one with [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is special to the family. I also like the idea of having [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] as a softer sounding nickname. I might never use a nickname, I never have with my son, but nice to have in case. I would love to hear why you feel I should go for [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]. What are your honest opinions of [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]?

It’s a sweet name and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] would fit in great with Maebry and [name_u]Dexter[/name_u].
([name_m]Quentin[/name_m] is more like an English aristocrat to me and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] has a very different image, too.)
I’m not sure if you would want the sibset to match style wise but all of the names give off the same vibe, modern but not trendy or popular.

Thank you, Opheliaflora.

We picture Maebry [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] as a feeling of vintage charm, with a hint of southern charm. The combos as a whole are unexpected and spunky, what I have found I like, at least with girls’ names. I find that I do not care if the names fit style wise but I like a feeling of togetherness. I cannot always put my finger on what it is.

We are definitely keeping Maebry [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] as the top two girls’ names. If there is concern with those then we have [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] ([name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]). I am trying to decide if I want to stick with [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] and [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] being the top two boys’ names or going with [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u].

I absolutely love the name [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]! So my vote is for you to add it to your list. imo [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] goes will with all the names on your list, a little bit modernish but with strong roots.

While I love [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], I think that [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is a wonderful name that should make the list.

The nn [name_m]Wiley[/name_m], if you so choose to use it works really well and comes across as spunky and happy go lucky, a good combination [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. And I know you are posting about the boy names, but Maebry [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] are lovely!

I also am a big fan of [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], it’s smart, handsome and ruggish to me at the same time and the nickname [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] is a definite plus!

[name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is a name I can see a little boy running around being adventurous, then I can also see him as a teenager into sports. I can also see a grown man with this name. I like it.

[name_f]My[/name_f] nephews name is [name_m]Killian[/name_m], and my sister had her doubts because of the nn kill or killer. When he was young we called him Killey, than when he started playing football in high school his coach nicknamed him Killer because he was a very big (height-wise) teenager, not because he was mean at all. I think [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] could be nicknamed [name_m]Wild[/name_m] by his coach, it’d be cool. I love [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] as a nickname for it.

I really like [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] and [name_u]Dexter[/name_u]. Your girl names are adorable as well!!

I really like [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], there is something about it that is nice and handsome and [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] is a really cute diminutive. It’s also the sort of name that will grow with your child, as an adult he could ditch [name_m]Wiley[/name_m] if he preferred and have a sophisticated name. I could see a [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] as some big corporate CEO, or an architect! I like that it’s not wildly popular or mainstream, but it’s not so crazy out there you child will be petitioning for a legal name change at 16.

Thank you so much, everyone. I appreciate it.
