I voted for [name]Juliet[/name]. I also love [name]Charlotte[/name] but I’ve never met a [name]Juliet[/name] and would love to, while I know a [name]Charlotte[/name]. I also like [name]Eliza[/name] as a nickname for [name]Elizabeth[/name], but not on its own.
I voted [name]Clara[/name] but they are ALL beautiful. Have no fear she will have a gorgeous name no matter what!
I can’t choose between [name]Juliet[/name] & [name]Genevieve[/name]! I like them both alot.
I love all your choices really. But I voted for [name]Clara[/name], although I love [name]Genevieve[/name]
Of course you are having trouble! You have so many gorgeous names to choose from. I have a little [name]Clara[/name] so I am particular to that. However, [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] were on my list when I was pregnant with her. I guess it made it somewhat easier for me since [name]Clara[/name] was the ONLY girls name my husband liked. You really can’t go wrong with any of these gems. Good luck and let us know what you choose.
What a hard choice! She will have a lovely name whichever you choose. All I can say is that [name]Genevieve[/name] is my least favorite.
All of the choices are wonderful, but I chose [name]Clara[/name]. She just feels like a spring baby, with big doe eyes that are so dreamy and enchanting. It’s beautiful! Best of luck!
I see why you are stuck! I like them all, but would steer clear of [name]Charlotte[/name] only because I think it is just too popular.
I adore [name]Clara[/name], but only with the English/European pn Clah-ruh.
I voted [name]Genevieve[/name] partially because I love the nn [name]Evie[/name] but I could have just as easily voted for [name]Clara[/name], [name]Eliza[/name] or [name]Tessa[/name]. [name]Juliet[/name] I like a little less personally, but I have no strong objections.
Good luck choosing!
My vote went to [name]Clara[/name], and I must say, that I would love to see [name]Clara[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] as a contender for combo, should [name]Clara[/name] become frontrunner for you.
While I love [name]Juliet[/name], I feel that with [name]James[/name] and [name]Joseph[/name], you’ve got more than enough J’s going on, and another would make things extremely repetitive and matchy.
All of the names are great, and I don’t believe you can go wrong with any of them really, however, I will say that, placed alongside [name]James[/name] (and [name]Joseph[/name]), [name]Tessa[/name] does feel quite mismatched, due to being significantly more modern compared to the you son’s name, as well as your other loves.
Thanks, everyone! This is so helpful. I sort of agree on [name]Charlotte[/name]'s popularity, though I do like it, but I also worry that all the others are basically rising in popularity, so I’m a little afraid any of those choices will just continue to increase and be top 20 names in the next 5-10 years! But we can’t control what we like, right? I just haven’t been able to get on board with anything less popular, or anything currently decreasing in popularity.
I chose [name]Genevieve[/name] because I’ve not met many, though the ones I do know are Babies so it might be getting popular…But overall I think its a little bit unique and very pretty.
I voted for [name]Genevieve[/name]. I think that it sounds great with your son’s name of [name]Joseph[/name]. The other two from your list that I really think are beautiful are [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Mara[/name]. Good luck and congrats on soon-to-be here little girl!
It was a really tough choice for me, between [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are favorites of mine. I like the way Geneveive sounds with [name]James[/name] because of the alliteration, but I also like how [name]Clara[/name] sounds with [name]James[/name]. (I don’t put too much importance into the sibset normally, but I love both names so much I had to find a way to choose one over the other.) Anyway, [name]Clara[/name] won! I also really like [name]Juliet[/name]. [name]Tessa[/name] is lovely, but I prefer the more classic sounding names. [name]Charlotte[/name] is a good name but it feels a little tired to me. I never cared for a [name]Eliza[/name].
The logic behind my vote:
[name]Eliza[/name] is too nn for my tastes. Out.
I want to like [name]Clara[/name], I really do, but somehow it sounds clunky; even more os than [name]Claire[/name]. Out.
I prefer [name]Julia[/name] to [name]Juliet[/name], even though I am a fan of ette names. Possibility.
[name]Tessa[/name]…somewhat nn for my tastes, though my vote may go here if nothing else is better. It sounds prettier than [name]Eliza[/name].
I don’t see all the hype about [name]Genevieve[/name]. I think of [name]Madeline[/name]'s dog. Plus I hate the nn [name]Jenny[/name]. Out.
[name]Lottie[/name] is okay, but [name]Charlie[/name] is not a great nn imo, even for a boy. Out.
So that narrows it down to [name]Juliet[/name] or [name]Tessa[/name]. I notice your son’s name is [name]James[/name], and I think it’s best to avoid the same first initials so that way things such as water bottles can be initialed with one letter and you can know whose is whose. My vote goes for [name]Tessa[/name].
I would have trouble choosing with a list of such wonderful names too! I voted for [name]Clara[/name], though, because [name]James[/name] and [name]Clara[/name] sound so so lovely together. [name]Genevieve[/name] would be my second choice, but I think that I like the different sounds of [name]Clara[/name] and [name]James[/name] as opposed to [name]James[/name] and [name]Genevieve[/name].
P.S. Your son’s name is absolutely fantastic!
[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
First of all, that is a lovely list.
I voted for [name]Eliza[/name], it has always been one of my favorite names.
I chose [name]Charlotte[/name] because it’s such a classy name and I love the nn [name]Charlie[/name]. I think [name]Charlotte[/name] would be adorable on a baby girl and would transition well into adulthood. My second choice would be [name]Genevieve[/name] because it sounds so pretty.
I voted for sunny little [name]Tessa[/name]. I also really love [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] but [name]Tessa[/name] felt really refreshing.
