If I can mix and match, I like [name]Jasper[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] the best. Maybe [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Bay[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] [name]June[/name].
I agree with september.
Maybe your worried about the matchiness of 2 -er names, but those are the 2 names I like the best.
[name]Fable[/name] I don’t like at all, especially on a boy.
I voted for [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Bay[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] [name]June[/name]. With [name]Fable[/name] [name]River[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] [name]Bay[/name], I don’t know who is the girl and who is the boy. I assume [name]Fable[/name] is the boy because of your placement ([name]Fable[/name] first, [name]Jasper[/name] first), but I imagine this would cause lots of confusion. Also, these both sound like bodies of water to me. If that’s what you’re going for, then it’s perfect, but it’s way out of my style/comfort range. I do love the name [name]Jasper[/name], though!
[name]Jasper[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] have depth and history. [name]Fable[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] just can’t compare. However, all of your combos are too heavy on the words. [name]One[/name] word per combo is advisable to avoid sounding like a description of a THING rather than a [name]PERSON[/name].
[name]Jasper[/name] [name]Bay[/name] & [name]Clementine[/name] [name]June[/name] have my vote.
I’m open to mixing it up or to other suggestions. Perhaps different middles? I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Jasper[/name] and [name]Piper[/name], but I didn’t think I should use them together. They don’t seem to me to go together, and the repeated ‘er’ seemed as though it might be too cutsie.
[name]Clementine[/name] would usually be called [name]Emme[/name], if that makes any difference.
Another choice would be [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Bay[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. What do you think of that idea? I know I am the only poster left on this site who still likes [name]Rose[/name] in the middle, but I do.
The responses have been very helpful. It has made me rethink it all. Thank you.
Thanks, [name]Mischa[/name], I can see what you mean.
I think of [name]Fable[/name] as a boys’ name, but it really has not been established either way, so I can see the confusion.
Oooh, I love it! [name]Nora[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is beautiful, and [name]Jasper[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] are a great sib set!
You’re not alone – I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Rose[/name] in the middle!!! [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Bay[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] [name]Rose[/name] are amazing. [name]Bay[/name] is still not my style, but it’s not my kid! They have a great sound and are very lovely names. This combo gets my vote!
Yep, [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Bay[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] [name]Rose[/name] are beautiful separately and together. That’s definitely the set I’d pick.
Thanks, september (my favorite month). Good. I could always go for [name]Honora[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and use [name]Nora[/name] [name]Rose[/name].
I’m feeling better about this choice all the time. I was surprised how little love [name]Fable[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] got, but perhaps word names are an acquired taste and [name]Piper[/name] is one of those hipster choices that you either love or hate. Also, for some [name]Piper[/name] is at once maybe too strange and too trendy.
[name]Jasper[/name] [name]Bay[/name] is an actual place – in the San [name]Juan[/name] Islands in the Puget Sound. Is that lovely – or too strange? I love [name]Bay[/name] – but just cannot go for something so abrupt as a first name.
I actually like [name]Piper[/name] and [name]Jasper[/name] quite a bit, but I’m not sure about them together. I do know several little Pipers and it does not strike me as hipster at all. I think of the more vintage names as hipster names (like [name]Clementine[/name]), but that could just be me. As for [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Bay[/name] being a real place, if it were me, I’d want to have a personal connection to the place so when people say “Oh, you know that’s actually a real place,” I could say “Yes, I do and it has special meaning for us (or for my family, etc.) and that’s why we chose it.” As opposed to “Yeah, and I really liked the sound of it so I named my son after it.” That feels weird to me, but everyone is different (thank goodness!), so you might feel very differently. Your children certainly won’t have boring names!
