[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
Yesterday I posted if [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is too popular. After considering for whole night, we have to say goodbye to [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].(but still love it very much)
Please help with the final decision.
[name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Leonor[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Emmie[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tilly[/name_f]
I am honestly a huge fan of [name_f]Leonor[/name_f]! It’s so unexpected and pretty, and I don’t think it really gets much love at all on NB. So I gave that one my vote, but all of these are great choices! You can’t go wrong here.
If you think that [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is too common, then you should probably stay away from [name_f]Eleonora[/name_f] and [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] because they will be more common via association. I prefer [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] over [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], and [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] over [name_f]Tilda[/name_f], but both nicknames are wonderful.
Voted for [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nn. [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] (love [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]!) but I also like [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f]. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] choices all!
I voted [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]! [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is actually one of my top names, but [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is just so common. I love [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] as nicknames though!
Are you in the US? [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is very popular in [name_f]England[/name_f], Australia, [name_u]New[/name_u] Zealand, [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] and [name_u]Sweden[/name_u]. So, perhaps not the name for you if you live in those parts of the world and popularity bothers you (or you don’t and it bothers you anyway!).
[name_f]My[/name_f] vote was for [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], but the nickname [name_f]Emmie[/name_f] (although I prefer [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]) rather than [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]. [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] is a lovely name all on its own so, if you want to call them [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], I would say just go for that!
I voted for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tilda[/name_f], although [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] is gorgeous too. I think I’m in the minority here but I actually prefer [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] without a nickname. I also love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] but I prefer the nn [name_u]Clem[/name_u] or [name_u]Clemmy[/name_u], both of which feel more intuitive to me.
As I said yesterday, I feel like [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is just as popular as [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though I love [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nora[/name_f], I didn’t vote for it if you’re trying to stay away from popular names. Same thing w/[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Emmie[/name_f]. I don’t personally care for [name_f]Emmie[/name_f], but it’s fairly common since a lot of Emmas, [name_f]Emily[/name_f], Emilias etc. go by [name_f]Emmie[/name_f]. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] is perfect! Sweet, cheerful, simple & unique. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] or [name_f]Tilda[/name_f] are good too. I just personally love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f].
I absolutely love [name_f]Leonor[/name_f]! It’s one of my favorites and is sadly underused on nameberry and in the real world. I think it’s the perfect alternative if [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is too popular for you now. [name_f]My[/name_f] second choice would be [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] “[name_f]Tilly[/name_f]” because I think it’s the same style as [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].
Oh hard choice, but I’ve got to go with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]. Closely followed by [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tilda[/name_f].
I terribly appreciate your feedbacks! They help us get out of the dilemma!
The final result is [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], with the middle name [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]!
More than grateful !
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] sounds magical, fun and adventurous! I love it!
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is such a beautiful name.
