hi all, i am desperate need of help! i am expecting my 4th baby and having a very hard time choosing a name. We already have 2 boys and a girl [name]Carlos[/name], [name]Mia[/name], and [name]Xavier[/name] this one will also be a girl:) we need something that fits with the rest of them, and can be easily spoken in both spanish and italian, but not unheard of here in the US. We have narrowed it down to 4 our original favorite was [name]Sofia[/name]. But, with its popularity it loses its appeal (to me dh still loves it) my second coice is [name]Lina[/name]/[name]Lena[/name] (LEE_NUH) however dh does not love it. which spelling do you think will be less likey to be mispronounced? do you like the name? our other choices are [name]Stella[/name] or [name]Eva[/name]…
[name]Hi[/name]! I thought I should point out that [name]Mia[/name] and [name]Sofia[/name] rhyme. I am generally a [name]Sofia[/name] fan, popularity and all (my daughter is [name]Sophia[/name]), but I’d avoid it for this reason (that is, the rhyming). From your list I love [name]Lena[/name] (spelled this way) and [name]Eva[/name].
[name]Eva[/name] is my choice - pronounced with a hard E or a soft one.
My second choice would be [name]Nina[/name]- I think its cuter than [name]Lina[/name]. If you want to spell [name]Lina[/name] with an e, I’d suggest putting a double e to make sure its pronounced [name]Lee[/name]-na and not Leh-na.
[name]Sophia[/name]/[name]Sofia[/name]/Sophiya would be third and then [name]Stella[/name].
With [name]Carlos[/name], [name]Mia[/name], and [name]Xavier[/name], I think your best bet is [name]Stella[/name]. [name]Stella[/name] sounds distinctly different from your other kids’ names, whereas both [name]Sofia[/name] and [name]Lena[/name] - and to an extent, [name]Lena[/name] - have a rhyming relationship with [name]Mia[/name]…
