I prefer [name_f]Poem[/name_f] personally, because [name_u]Poet[/name_u] sounds more like a title than a name when in the first name spot. [name_f]Poem[/name_f] is gorgeous as a first name, and [name_u]Poet[/name_u] is really nice as a middle!
I love [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_u]Poet[/name_u], and [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is stunning
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f] is to die for! Absolutely magical, beautiful name. [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_u]Poet[/name_u] is also very lovely, which is interesting because I’m not usually a huge fan of [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], but [name_u]Poet[/name_u] goes so nicely with it!
As a first name, I think I prefer [name_f]Poem[/name_f]. [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_u]Florence[/name_u] is a nice balance of whimsical and grounded, a beautiful combo all around honestly. From the [name_u]Poet[/name_u] combos, [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] and [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_f]Leonore[/name_f] are especially lovely.
The only thing I would personally keep in mind is that having an established name paired with Poem/Poet creates a nice balance and more versatility, whereas two word-names can sometimes come across as describing an object or something (for example, [name_u]October[/name_u] [name_u]Poet[/name_u] sounds so mystical in such a cool way, but it sounds like you’re describing like, the [name_u]October[/name_u] [name_u]Poet[/name_u] of the month or something). Another thing that personally stuck out to me was the combo [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], which sounds absolutely stunning, it makes me think immediately of [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] by [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] [name_m]Allen[/name_m] [name_u]Poe[/name_u]. Not the end of the world, but perhaps something to keep in mind.
[name_u]Poet[/name_u] is gorgeous, it’s been catching my eye again lately.
I love [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_u]Poet[/name_u] especially. I think both [name_u]Poet[/name_u] and [name_f]Poem[/name_f] work best paired with non-word names, otherwise they risk sounding a bit descriptive, eg. [name_u]October[/name_u] [name_u]Poet[/name_u] or [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Reverie[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] fave [name_f]Poem[/name_f] combos would be [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and especially [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f], despite what I’ve just said about double word name combos!
[name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] is quite literally poetic! I like [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_u]Romilly[/name_u], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_u]Poet[/name_u], [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_u]Florence[/name_u] and [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f] (though [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_u]Poet[/name_u] would be )
Some I’d consider would be [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f], [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Poet[/name_u] and [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_f]Ilaria[/name_f]
I typically prefer [name_f]Poem[/name_f] because it just feels softer and more lyrical to me, but I have [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] as a combo right now & I do love her!
From your list, my favourites are [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f], [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f], [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Lilac[/name_f], [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Reverie[/name_f], [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f], & [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f]
My fave variation of this name is Poésie. French for “poetry.” My mother and I speak French, so I don’t think I’d use this as a name, as it’s a little wordy for my personal taste, but I still think it’s very sweet. I think a one-syllable middle would be excellent with it.
