What others would you suggest? I’d prefer to use it with a Hebrew name but I can’t find any I like with it besides [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and [name_f]Judith[/name_f].
I don’t find it any less usable than [name_f]Melody[/name_f], [name_u]Lyric[/name_u], [name_u]Story[/name_u], etc. And it’s a very pretty word. Poesie is also a beautiful option.
I do, however, find it a bit ‘on the nose’. There’s a lot of pretence around poetry and I’d be a bit self conscious about using [name_f]Poem[/name_f] for my own kid, just in terms of how it would be read (ha, pun not intended!!) - especially as somebody who’s probably above average interested in poetry.
I think [name_f]Lenora[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f] and [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f] are fab. Something about repeating the soft o/e vowel sounds is really appealing. Some similar ones maybe,
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f]
[name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Odetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Poem[/name_f] [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f]
[name_f]Isolde[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Poem[/name_f]
