I like that someone’s considering [name_f]Elinor[/name_f] spelling, but [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] is ending in ay sound so maybe this combo is a pass this time.
Voted for [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] & [name_f]Viveca[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] flows the best with the likes of [name_f]Jemima[/name_f], [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f], and [name_f]Viveca[/name_f]. But my favorite would have to be [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f]!
Tough pick. I voted for [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f]. [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f] is magical and has such gorgeous sounds, very similar to [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] and I think they pair very well together. And [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] because I adore [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and I think it’s one of the those names that sounds great with everything.
@tp b Interesting way of looking at it! I did have [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] and [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] on the long list — do any of those do it for you?
Thanks, @sorceress. I have to say, looking at them again I think I like a few of those as much as the ones in the poll. Argh, I’m supposed to be narrowing down!
A lot of really striking ones. I love the flow of [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f]. [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f] is probably my favorite though. I’ve been hugely crushing on F names and together these two sound so fairy tale-esque. She is a princess but not a pink Disney princess, rather she is astute and poetic.
I love [name_f]Leontine[/name_f]/Appolline with [name_f]Ismay[/name_f], and adore [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f].
I’m also partial to [name_f]Viveca[/name_f] and [name_f]Jemima[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is definitely out. Possibly [name_f]Elinor[/name_f] too — I really like the name, and this spelling especially, but it doesn’t feel as striking/interesting as some of the others. And I’m not sure on [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]… It isn’t a favourite in isolation, but I love the way it flows in this combo and I think its spiky femininity complements softer, sleeker [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] really nicely.
I’m tempted to add [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], [name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] and [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] into the mix now too!
I voted for [name_f]Elinor[/name_f], [name_f]Ferelith[/name_f] and [name_f]Apolline[/name_f]. They are the nicest with [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] in my opinion. [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] is such a beautiful name, but I’m scared that the spelling looks too «creative». We write it Ismée in [name_f]France[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Ismay[/name_f], with its strong sound and two sharp syllables, sounds best with something very melodic and flowy, like [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] or [name_f]Apolline[/name_f]. However, I do also love it with [name_f]Viveca[/name_f].
