I am coming up on the end of my pregnancy, and we have spent most of it thinking we’d name our daughter Blair. She has two big brothers, Liam and Eamon, and a sister only one year older, Maeve.
Problem is, I’ve been seeing more and more people name their girls Blair. Having a Liam, which ended up being such a popular name, it’s making me nervous! I once had a dream about the name Isa (ee-sa) and now I’ve been thinking of it more. Which one has your vote?
Although I think [name_u]Isa[/name_u] is a very sweet name, I think [name_u]Blair[/name_u] fits better with [name_u]Liam[/name_u], [name_m]Eamon[/name_m], and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. I haven’t checked the current popularity charts recently (and I’m assuming you’re in the US), but I don’t see [name_u]Blair[/name_u] ever reaching [name_u]Liam[/name_u] level popularity. It’s a very modern but approachable name, distinct without being edgy or sharp, but that’s just my opinion. That’s my two cents, but both names are lovely if [name_u]Isa[/name_u] ends up your choice

wow, isa is so gorgeous!! she feels cool and stylish but also sweet and familiar - just like her siblings’ names!
All I can say is that [name_u]Blair[/name_u] did make a decent jump according the USA’s SSA website so you might be right! Hard to know for sure until this year’s are published.
I would pick [name_u]Isa[/name_u] if you’re concerned with popularity but I think I agree that [name_u]Blair[/name_u] does go a bit better with the sibset. Not enough for [name_u]Isa[/name_u] to be the “odd one out” at all though…just slightly.
I still like [name_u]Blair[/name_u] best, but [name_u]Isa[/name_u] is sweet too. I heard a girl being called [name_u]Isa[/name_u] recently, and it was nice to hear!
