Do you think that Lottie can be a standalone name? Not short for Charlotte or anything else, just Lottie.

I think itā€™s fine! It reminds me of names like [name_u]Allie[/name_u], [name_u]Abby[/name_u], [name_f]Libby[/name_f], [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], etcā€¦ like they are more common as a nickname for their longer version but they have no trouble standing alone either.

I know more just Lottieā€™s than I do Charlotteā€™s!

[name_f]Lottie[/name_f] works perfectly fine.

Iā€™ve met a number of just Lotties (itā€™s in the UK top 100 too)

I think it can work, but personally I like it best as a nickname for [name_f]Loretta[/name_f].

Where Iā€™m from [name_f]Lota[/name_f] / [name_f]Lotta[/name_f] is used as a standalone and even ranks in the Top 50 so I canā€™t see a reason for why [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] couldnā€™t stand on its own.

[name_m]Even[/name_m] though my personal style is to go with the full name and use a nickname (I like to have options and I think the child might as well), it definitely works as a stand-alone.

I know a ā€œjustā€ [name_f]Lottie[/name_f]! Itā€™s adorable on her.
