Musing names again in my (minimal) free time, I think my first name tastes have shifted a little towards more popular options that still have a slightly quirky feel.
Two that have been on my mind lately are Cleo and Beatrix – both not far below the Top 100 where I live. I’m loving the middle names Ramona and Apolline for them, but can’t decide which way round I prefer.
So…
Cleo Apolline & Beatrix Ramona

Feedback on any of the above names (or others that spring to mind) also much appreciated!
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_m]Quimby[/name_m] to me! But the other poll choice is great!
I’m surprised I’m the only vote currently for [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Apolline[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]! I have a hard time with the repeated strong O sounds so close together in [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], it doesn’t flow off the tongue as well for me.
Soundwise, I prefer [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] [name_f]Apolline[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], but the [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] and Beezus connection mentioned above pulled me in the other direction. Nothing against the books at all! The connection is just overwhelming for me.
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Romilly[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_m]Romary[/name_m], or [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] have similar sounds and might work, too?
