I think it’s “alright”. I love [name]Sadie[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] individually but they don’t match in style for me so I wouldn’t put them as siblings. [name]Delia[/name] is ok but not a favourite of mine as I associate it with [name]Delia[/name] [name]Smith[/name], basically the UK’s version of [name]Martha[/name] [name]Stewart[/name]!
[name]Sadie[/name]'s ideal sisters for me would be:
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Brooke[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Amelie[/name]
[name]Florence[/name]
[name]Martha[/name]
[name]Mabel[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Willa[/name]
[name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]'s ideal sisters for me would be:
[name]Imogen[/name]
[name]Claudia[/name]
[name]Mirabelle[/name]
[name]Evenie[/name]
[name]Sophia[/name]
[name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Rose[/name]
[name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Gabrielle[/name]
[name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Hope[/name] that helps!
Thank you! You are right in the fact that [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name] aren’t exactly in the same category. I can see that now… Would [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name] feel better? [name]Just[/name] a thought. But then again [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Delia[/name] would both end in “ia”. Yikes. Well, since I’m not in the UK I’m not concerned about the [name]Delia[/name] [name]Smith[/name] association. That is interesting. Off of the names you listed I like quite a few, so I appriciate it! Thanks!
[name]Julia[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name] seem a little better matched to me but still not quite. Maybe [name]Julianne[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name] is better? Not sure. Or [name]Sadie[/name] and [name]June[/name] - now that’s perfect to me!
[name]Delia[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] do make adorable sisters though if I forget my [name]Delia[/name] association! [name]Delia[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Sabine[/name]? Or [name]Delia[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Sophie[/name]. [name]Delia[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Sylvie[/name]. [name]Delia[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name]. [name]Delia[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Selene[/name]. [name]Delia[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name]?
I voted ‘like it’, because [name]Delia[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] are lovely, but I feel like [name]Sadie[/name] would get the short end of the stick with such a nicknamey name compared to the sophistication of [name]Delia[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name]. [name]Sarah[/name], maybe?
I voted for like it because all three are nice individually, but they don’t strike me as a very balanced sibset. So if a balanced set is important to you, then you might want to keep looking. However, I don’t think it’s an awful set like [name]Greer[/name] and [name]Arabella[/name] or something.
Thanks everyone who replied so far. I agree. Yes, I see it is not very balanced. I love all three names indivisually too. It’s hard. Well… With all the suggestions setting in I am thinking…
What are you thinking with those sisters?
I guess my biggest question is do [name]Delia[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name] work well as sisters?
Hmm tough one. I don’t think [name]Delia[/name] and [name]Sadie[/name] are perfect sisters but they definitely could work. Especially with [name]June[/name] in between them which is the perfect bridge. It has the same elegant, classic feel of [name]Delia[/name] and the same sweet, vintage feel as [name]Sadie[/name]. If you’re not sure though what about [name]Della[/name]? [name]Sadie[/name], [name]June[/name] and [name]Della[/name]? Or [name]Adele[/name] would be even more perfect and you could nickname her [name]Della[/name]? [name]Sadie[/name], [name]June[/name] and [name]Adele[/name]?
I also adore [name]Delia[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Sophie[/name]! [name]Glad[/name] you liked it but if you’re not sure about [name]Sophie[/name]'s popularity, what about [name]Sonia[/name], [name]Sabine[/name], [name]Sanna[/name], [name]Sadia[/name], [name]Sapphira[/name] or [name]Seraphine[/name]?
Good luck
I wouldn’t say they clash in any way, but they do seem different. I don’t really see an overarching theme if that is what you are looking for. My sisters and I were named [name]Tanya[/name], [name]Liana[/name], and [name]Natalie[/name]. No theme, but didn’t clash either.
Maybe if you went with [name]Julia[/name]…they’d all be 5 letters, if you really want a theme, but not sure that’s necessary.
i’m a little confused though. are these triplets or just sister? If so, have any been born yet? That might give a better idea, of which ones could actually be tweaked.
PS. I have a [name]Sadie[/name] and I adore her and her name, but [name]Delia[/name] is not my style at all as it I just don’t like girl names that start with Da- or Ta- sounds. [name]Juliet[/name] is okay, but it reminds me of [name]Romeo[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] and it’s just like suicidal star cross teenage lovers just don’t do it for me. So for me personally, it’s not a combo I would do.
Alright for me. Here’s how it breaks down…
[name]Juliet[/name]- a name I adore. Delicate, feminine, with history and spunk. pretty looking and sounding.
[name]Sadie[/name]- it’s decent. Many people love it, but it just doesn’t have “oomph” for me.
[name]Delia[/name]- not awful, I just personally don’t like it. Prefer [name]Della[/name], or [name]Cordelia[/name] nn [name]Delia[/name].
[name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Cordelia[/name] would make lovely sisters. [name]Both[/name] Shakespearean and stunning!
I agree entirely with isaberry.
[name]Juliet[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name] and classic with history.
[name]Sadie[/name] - Yeah, it’s just ehh. It’s quickly losing its color and doesn’t grow well. I can only see this on a little girl or a grandma.
[name]Delia[/name] - I prefer [name]Della[/name]. If [name]Delia[/name] were to be used, then it’d be better as [name]Cordelia[/name] nn [name]Delia[/name].
I like these names separately, but together, they just don’t cooperate.
