[name]John[/name] seems like a simple name but I really don’t know many Johns or Johnnies in this age group. [name]Johnnie[/name] is adorable and fun, and [name]John[/name] is dignified and strong. My second would be [name]Graham[/name], and [name]Jack[/name] is nice, but pretty popular lately.
[name]Jack[/name]! [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] are adorable together. I love it!
[name]Henry[/name] and [name]John[/name] gets my vote. I like [name]John[/name] so much more than [name]Jack[/name].
I like [name]Jack[/name], but you could go with [name]John[/name] and call him [name]Jack[/name] if it felt right… Two names for the price of one…
First of all, [name]Henry[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] is absolutely wonderful!
About a name for a second boy…
I voted for [name]Graham[/name], although all of the options are quite nice, and any of them would go well with [name]Henry[/name]. The first name I decided against of the three was [name]Jack[/name]. Yes, it is a great name and it sounds good with [name]Henry[/name], but although it can easily be a full name, it has a nickname quality to it. [name]Henry[/name] is the opposite. With a child named [name]Jack[/name], I would have suspected that your older son would be [name]Harry[/name] or [name]Hank[/name] (nicknames for [name]Henry[/name]), not [name]Henry[/name]. [name]John[/name], in this way, matches [name]Henry[/name]. Although you mentioned [name]John[/name] would be called [name]Johnnie[/name], [name]Jack[/name] could also be a nickname for [name]John[/name]. That way, if you decided you liked [name]Jack[/name] better, [name]John[/name] could still go by that name. So, [name]John[/name] does seem like the perfect option. The main reason I picked [name]Graham[/name] was that it is not very popular, and I would like to see it used more often because it is a favorite of mine.
I agree- [name]John[/name] and [name]Graham[/name] are much better style matches than [name]Jack[/name], which is an informal nickname. I voted for [name]Graham[/name] since I like its panache. I feel like brothers [name]John[/name] & [name]Henry[/name] are a bit staid, but brothers [name]Graham[/name] & [name]Henry[/name] are refined.
bump, because I would like to hear some more opinions.
I’m with [name]Blade[/name] on this one.
I love [name]Graham[/name]! If it wasn’t already claimed on both sides of our family, it would be at the top of my list. [name]One[/name] side pronounces is like graham cracker and the other pronounces is “gray-em”.
