I think it would get confused too much with [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Anna[/name_f] to work well as a standalone name.
I used to know an Enna! They didn’t seem to have any problems with it, and I never thought that their name felt incomplete, or that it had to be short for something.
[name_f]Enna[/name_f] works to me
I actually had a childhood neighbour who was named [name_f]Enna[/name_f]. I think it’s a beautiful name, and as far as I can remember, they never had an issue with it. As an [name_f]Anna[/name_f], I can see how it might be mistaken for [name_f]Anna[/name_f] or [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. But I’ve also had my fair share of correcting people that my name isn’t [name_f]Hannah[/name_f].
I think it works as a name just fine but I would still prefer it as a nickname. Soooo, both?
My thoughts exactly. I also just prefer longer names.
All it makes me think of is enema, I think it’d be much better as nn because of that
[name_f]Ena[/name_f] is actually used in Croatia, and I know at least three girls called [name_f]Ena[/name_f]. Croats generally favor nickname names so growing up with them feels very natural. I’d never assume a girl called [name_f]Ena[/name_f] has a longer, full name.
It works well, however I prefer [name_f]Etta[/name_f] personally
I’ve always loved [name_f]Enna[/name_f]! [name_f]My[/name_f] middle name is [name_u]Anne[/name_u], so I thought it would be adorable to have an [name_f]Enna[/name_f]
I do worry it would be confused with [name_u]Anne[/name_u] or [name_f]Emma[/name_f], but a quick correction would solve that problem.
I think it works; I first came across it as a full name. But I do agree, you’d have to be prepared for Emma/Anna mix ups.
I know an [name_f]Enna[/name_f]! I did have to mentally remind myself it wasn’t [name_f]Anna[/name_f] or [name_f]Emma[/name_f] at first, but I got it! It wouldn’t be my first choice of name, but the [name_f]Enna[/name_f] I know wears it very well.
