[name_f]Beth[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is fab! [name_f]Beth[/name_f] is so soft yet strong - a gorgeous underused classic. I think the alliteration in [name_f]Beth[/name_f] [name_m]Baker[/name_m] sounds super cool.
My second choice would be [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] but [name_f]Iris[/name_f] trails behind the beautiful [name_f]Beth[/name_f] for me

Thank you! My only concern with this name is a bizarre one… a girl at work, who I’ve never met because I started just after her maternity leave started, has the same surname. Her baby is called [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_m]Baker[/name_m]. I suppose, given we’re unlikely to have much to do with each other, and my baby will be called [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and hers [name_f]Tilly[/name_f], that shouldn’t be an issue?

Having two baby announcements going out at your workplace for [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and then [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] will get some people’s attention, but not in a negative way. And most people probably won’t even notice. 
You don’t know this woman and there’s no reason for anyone to think you’re copying or stepping on toes. As you say, the girls will be called [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f], not at all alike!
(My baby is due 9/9 but we think she’ll be here by the end of [name_u]August[/name_u]. We’ve decided to name her [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] )
